Your Mission
We are now hiring a Payroll controller/coordinator for mainly our company in Sweden who will be part of Mercell's Finance Shared Service Center's team, located in our newly renovated office in the Center of Stockholm. As our new Payroll controller/cooridnator, you will have an important, exciting and impactful role where you will be participating in improving and streamlining our payroll and financial processes together with the team.

Core Responsibilities:
Coordinate all information for payroll and travel expenses each month together with HR team and external payroll provider. Contact with employees and managers.
Booking, reconciling and analysing of payroll, social fee, personal taxes, pensions, insurances and other payroll related figures and tasks.
Participate in relevant projects related to improvements/development of payroll and finance processes.
Assist HR and external payroll provider/HR services in coordinating questions from managers and employees regarding collective agreements, employee contracts, health and care benefits and all other questions related to payroll and employees.
Reporting of payroll related costs and fees, like social fees, personal taxes, pensions, statistics, insurances, certificates and other payroll related figures. Contact with auditors in preparing payroll documentation.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree within accounting, business administration or similar. Relevant and extended experience can compensate for formal education
Ideally 3-5 years relevant experience as Payroll controller/coordinator or similar position in complex environments.
In- depth knowledge of payroll and employee legislation for Sweden or other Nordic countries
Experience from internal and external HR/payroll related reporting and knowledge of good practices of internal controls over HR/payroll reporting.
Advanced user of IT systems (ERP, Excel, HR reporting tools)
Fluent in English and Swedish
Preferred Qualifications
Fluency in more than one of the languages in the Nordic countries
Experience of using HI-BOB and Netsuite
Knowledge of payroll rules and regulations from other European countries
Start date: January 2025
