Paid User Acquisition Manager

Salary Competitive

Imagine if there was something we could all change today that would reduce global warming by 8%. That’s how much food waste contributes to the climate crisis, and yet we continue to waste 30% of all the food produced globally.

Our app connects consumers to surplus food from local restaurants and grocery stores, such as pastries, fresh produce, sushi and more, which would otherwise be thrown away to make room for the next batch of goods. Founded in 2016, we’ve saved over 344 million meals across 17 countries.

We’re looking for an exceptional Paid User Acquisition Manager to join the Global Marketing Team at Too Good To Go to accelerate our growth in Europe.

Your mission

Your goal is to accelerate the growth of quality new users to Too Good To Go. The role reports to the Global Head of User Acquisition and works closely with multiple team mates including the Global CRM team, plus the B2C Marketing Managers and Heads of Marketing in European markets.  We’re a strong team who care for each other, and we always succeed together as a team.

Your role and responsibilities

You will be responsible for the digital media planning, buying, optimization and reporting of all performance marketing campaigns in Europe, with focus on Central European countries (DACH, PL & CZ) and UK & Ireland.

You will be responsible for analysing the opportunities and optimising the plan using all available growth levers. You will use amazing local insights from our local teams, potent digital marketing thinking from global and your own ideas to develop world class acquisition engines..

Specifically you will also:

  • Implement campaigns from start to finish.  Using Meta, Google, TikTok, Twitter and more ad platforms to reach the right audience, with the message at the right time to acquire users to our app. Additionally, specialise in Google to become the channel expert in the Paid Media team.
  • Innovate and Experiment.  Using your own ideas and those of your colleagues to continually raise the bar.  This covers any element of your sphere of influence as we’re always keen to learn and improve, with a focus on testing new acquisition channels.
  • Guide the local marketing team on the right budget levels, creative needs and any new innovative ideas that can help drive performance vs KPIs.
  • Benchmark and forecast relevant country metrics across the channels and objectives.
  • Share regular reporting that provides insights into digital marketing performance for senior stakeholders across the whole business.
  • Collaborate  with global and local teams to devise the best possible plans and strategies that will help us thrive together in Europe.
  • Own the creative briefing and delivery for global paid media digital assets.  It requires a strong collaboration with the creative and brand teams.

  • Several years’ experience in paid acquisition. You have managed paid acquisition budgets, implemented successful ad campaigns from start to finish and set-up a process to continuously improve them. Experience in app marketing is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of Google & Meta Ads platforms. You know the constraints and intricacies of those platforms, audiences and creatives have no secrets for you. Knowledge of other platforms such as TikTok, Twitter, Snapchat, Apple Search Ads, ad networks, DSPs is a plus.
  • Familiarity with analytics & BI tools. You’re comfortable leveraging analytics to optimise the performance of your campaigns and you’re able to find key insights in a sea of data.
  • Pragmatic mindset. You’re passionate, hands-on & autonomous. You take initiatives to get the job done, no matter how hard the problem seems.

Too Good To Go

At Too Good To Go we are dedicated to the fight against food waste! Food waste is a huge global issue, with one-third of all food produced being wasted, a landfill is overflowing and our environment is really suffering the consequences. And it's not just about the food itself, it's all the resources that went into producing the food, the land, the water, the labour. It's a sad state of affairs and we're on a mission to inspire and empower everyone to take action! Our platform allows people to buy surplus, unsold food from restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, bakeries etc. that otherwise would have to be thrown out. Through our app, everybody can make a difference by 'saving' perfectly good, delicious food from going in the bin.
