We are a green tech startup based in Oslo; developing, making and selling smart collection systems (hardware + software) for the circular economy. Think reverse vending machines for bottles and cans; but for a wide range of different products, a sleek and modular design, and loaded with cutting edge digital technology. Our customers range from fellow startups to Fortune 500 companies, and are currently located in Norway and Europe. We launched our first commercial product this year and we are now scaling our commercial organization, with a focus on building a top notch marketing and sales team.
You will be our first dedicated sales resource to drive sales through all our channels, knocking on doors, and being the face of GRIN and bringing in new customers and business.
Someone who enjoys- and gets energized by connecting with new people and customers, and feels motivated and triggered by closing sales. But also a team player who will contribute and be part of GRIN’s overall journey as we go from start-up to scale-up. Disrupting non-sustainable consumption and leading the global circular revolution.
Core responsibilities and tasks will include but not be limited to:
Drive and execute outbound sales; from initiating first contact to closing deals and handing over to the delivery team.
Build a solid pipeline and convert sales opportunities.
Develop sales strategies and execute plans for growing GRIN’s business through sales in Norway and Europe (and eventually beyond).
As the sales team grows in the coming years we will develop more specialized sales and account roles at different levels. You will play an integral part in this development and also have the responsibility and opportunity to shape your own path forward in this organization.
Manage and nurture relationships with existing customers and partners, and develop new relationships in targeted markets and segments.
Work with the commercial team to develop marketing and sales material.
Attend industry events, conferences and trade shows. Be visible and active in relevant forums and trade organizations, both physically and digitally.
Ensure that sales activities and deals are aligned with the product owner, production/ manufacturing and delivery teams.
Acquire knowledge about the circular economy and the associated challenges and regulations facing our customers.
Background, skills, professional experience and other requirements:
B2B experience from tech sales.
+5 years of proven business development, commercial and technical sales.
Social and cultural antennas; enjoy working in an international and culturally diverse environment, making connections and building networks.
Ability to pitch GRIN and our solutions to different stakeholders in a variety of settings.
Proficiency in a Scandinavian language and English is required.
Agile, being able to juggle, prioritize and excel with both proactive and reactive tasks daily.
Ability and willingness to travel in Norway and internationally.
