Junction is a not-for-profit hackathon and tech community, with a mission to bridge the gap between creators by making everyone fall in love with technology. We organize hackathons and other tech events - around the year and around the world. The event-filled year peaks annually in November with our flagship event Junction: Europe's leading hackathon, bringing 1500+ hackers together for a weekend-long experience. Besides the events, we have built a hackathon platform, Junction Platform.
The Junction team consists of 9 full-timers in Espoo, Finland, a bunch of amazing volunteers and our global JunctionX teams in countries across the world. Our team is rather young as most of us are still students. We have great team spirit and an independent work atmosphere but also a lot responsibility. The work we do is very much self-directed but we love cooperation and helping each other out. At Junction we are able to mould our roles to the direction we want, which makes the work very motivating. So as important as it is that you know the basic skills needed for this role, we are all still learning and growing to our roles as the year progresses.
Are you a strategic mastermind with good sales skills and a genuine interest in other people?
This role is full-time where you plan and execute Junction's partnerships and sales and support the other teams in their day to day work. Meaning that you’ll cooperate closely with our operations, marketing and tech teams. You will be meeting interesting companies from small startups to global corporations. The position includes a lot of strategic thinking, but at the same time, you’ll get your hands dirty and have concreteness in your daily tasks.
You will also be leading the whole partnerships team consisting of account managers.
Leading the sales process from plans into execution
Negotiating with potential partners
Supporting and being the team lead for Account Managers
Leading the monitoring and reporting of our sales
Leading the more long term partnership deals
Supporting the CEO and CFO in different tasks

Here’s what we require from you and your know-how:
You have strong communication skills you love to pitch things you are proud of
You are well-organized and self-motivated, you get to plan your job very freely so good self-management skills are required
You get motivated when reaching for your goals
You can handle stress well and finish your tasks in tight time frames
You have a basic knowledge of Google Workspace tools
You have previous experience in a sales or partnerships position
You are fluent in English, preferably in Finnish as well (this is purely because of the high amount of Finnish-only-speaking partner companies)
In addition to the ones mentioned above, you’ll be the perfect candidate if 2 or more of these features describe you:
You are creative and can think outside the box
You’ve attended or volunteered at a Junction event before
You are an inspiring person and a good leader
You know the basics of HubSpot/some other CRM
