We are looking for a Game QA (Quality Assurance) Engineer (Unity) that can help us out with various tasks. We are a remote team that has many years of combined experience in the game industry.
Test Planning and Strategy: Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and develop a comprehensive testing plan and strategy. This includes identifying test objectives, defining test cases, and determining testing methodologies.
Test Execution: Execute various types of tests, including functional testing, compatibility testing, performance testing, and regression testing. Use a combination of manual testing and automated testing tools to identify defects, bugs, and gameplay issues.
Bug Reporting and Tracking: Document and report any issues or defects discovered during testing. Create clear and detailed bug reports, including steps to reproduce the issue, and track the status of reported bugs through resolution.
Test Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Update documentation as needed to reflect changes in the game or testing requirements.
Quality Assurance Processes: Contribute to the improvement of QA processes and methodologies. Provide suggestions and feedback to enhance the overall quality assurance workflow, including test automation, test coverage, and defect prevention strategies.
Performance Optimization: Collaborate with the development team to identify performance bottlenecks and provide suggestions for optimization.
Testing: Conduct testing on various platforms and devices to ensure the game functions as intended and meets platform-specific requirements.
Game Balancing and Tuning: Collaborate with designers and developers to provide feedback on game mechanics, balancing, and overall gameplay experience.
Game QA Engineers may also be involved in multiplayer testing, localization testing, or specific areas of expertise such as network test (edited)
This is an unpaid internship of 6 months with the possibility to have it extended further, and since we are in discussions with major names in the industry we are planning to start our recruiting process this year.
You must have experience in working with unity and if you're prepared to put sweat and tears into our startup we are prepared to help you to have a great career development that will open doors to the startup world, and game industry among others.
We are a small, but devoted team and we have achieved a lot while working just evenings and weekends, now we are about a year away from release and we need all help we can have to reach our ambitious goals.
