About the role:

As a Senior Designer at Synthesia, you’ll design the templates that empower our users to create world class video content.

This is a role that requires broad experience across motion, product design, VFX, and graphic design. We’re looking for someone who can create highly polished designs while pushing what the creation experience in the Synthesia platform offers. Generative AI is transforming video production - this person will help to invent the right formats! 

You’ll collaborate with some of our 50,000 clients, including many S&P 500 enterprises, to create state-of-the-art templates that facilitate AI video creation. 

You’ll need to be curious about generative media, promote storytelling through your work, demonstrate attention to detail in your designs, and have a strong sense of ownership to succeed here. 

 Your responsibilities:

• Conceptualise and design innovative AI video templates using our platform. 
• Integrate UI and web design principles into your AI video designs. 
• Bring a strong POV to our template designs.
• Take ownership of assigned projects and see them through from ideation to final delivery. 
• Ensure deadlines are set up and respected.
• Bring a strong attention to detail to your work. 
• Push the boundaries of creation, experimenting your way to the future of video. 
• Utilise motion graphics and animations to enhance the video experience using our platform.
• Edit short videos and from our client's materials.
• Respecting our client’s brand guidelines when necessary. 
• Manipulate photos to ensure high-quality visual elements. 
• Collaborate with our design and creative leadership team to refine designs.  
• Learn how to use our AI video platform to create stunning video experiences.

Requirements:

• At least 6 years of professional integrated design experience and a portfolio that demonstrates your skills across multiple formats. Formats most relevant for this role are digital, presentation, product, brand and motion design. 
• Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, particularly After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator. 
• Advanced knowledge of web and UI design principles, animation and video editing. 
• Familiarity with presentation design software, such as PowerPoint, Keynote and Google Slides. 
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with different stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills. 
• Experience working within brand guidelines and you enjoy bringing consistency to your designs. 
• Familiarity with chatGPT and Midjourney is very welcome.
