Our company is building fleets of mobile robots to automate transportation of goods within supermarkets. Our robots help the staff with their daily jobs of filling orders, going to shelves to collect products, and bringing them to the final customers. You will have the unique opportunity to work with a skilled cross-functional development team in key company projects such as autonomous navigation in densely populated store areas, fleet management orchestration, and precision driving. Â

We are looking for a senior software development manager, to focus on coordinating and growing our development team. We would like this person to focus on establishing processes and infrastructure for developing and deploying high quality software applications.Â
Your key responsibilities would be:
Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), management and the development team to write statements of work, requirements documents, strategic vision documents in order to complete the prioritisation and scheduling of projects
Ensure that the generated software lives up to the standards set by stakeholder by coordinating user acceptability testing and providing hands-on quality assurance of work products
To provide software support and maintenance to operation / production system – to lead the team in software modification / enchantment to the system – to lead the team in preventative maintenance and corrective actions promptly and effectively – to manage the project scope, schedule, risks and cost of the assigned projects
To develop project documentation, progress reports and technical and engineering studies
To handle external vendors and contractors for repairs and purchases
To lead the team in creation of new IT infrastructure or an upgrade to exiting IT infrastructure
Knowledge of the implementation of cyber or information technology security
Design overall architecture of our software stack
Candidates with a PMP certification are preferable
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Electronics Engineering or Information Technology or equivalent
Certification in the areas of cyber security or information technology security, such as ITIL or CCNA, is viewed favourably in this profession
Proactive, dynamic and with good analytical / conceptual thinking
Capable of working independently as well as in a team and good interpersonal skills, presentation skills
An excellent communicator with influencing skills at all levels
Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) – Scrum, added advantage
Extensive experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues pertaining to computer and server hardware, as well as network issues
Proficient knowledge of programming languages such as C and C++
Develops and implements project plan, or sub-element of a project, including cost, schedule, risk and performance for new software product introduction or continuation
