Engineering Manager for Ageras Marketplace

Ageras Marketplace helps business owners find a suitable accountant at the right price. The marketplace is active in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, Germany and United States.

We’re looking for an experienced Engineering manager to play a key role in our continued growth journey.

You’ll be working in a team of engineers while capable of mentoring and pushing for architectural excellence. In this job, you will be referring to the CTO and performing the following tasks:

• You will be setting the technical direction for the product and development team

• Implement best practices for the teams within coding guidelines and CI/CD processes

• You will contribute to coding and carrying out code reviews

• Take part in on-boarding of new software engineers to the team

• Take ownership of technical topics and areas and ensure end-to-end technical delivery

• You will be building reliable and scalable systems and services with an eye for sustainability and meeting long-term visions.

• Partnering and collaborating closely with the Product manager ensuring we deliver feasible and valuable solutions to customers

• Give regular and clear feedback around the individual's performance

• You will encourage technical decision making on the team but make final decisions when deemed necessary.

• Oversee the continuous Improvement of product quality, security, and architecture.

Requirements

• Senior-level engineering background

• Preferably MSc in computer science or equivalent

• Experience working as a software architect

• Experience with PHP, Laravel, MySQL, knowledge in React is a plus.

• We are interested in someone who can create solutions and think outside of the box.

Nice to have

• Experience working with legacy product and transitioning projects

• A great eye for UX design and frontend
