The Role

Normative is seeking a highly motivated Senior Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity and will be responsible for ensuring the security of our systems, networks, and data. You will play a key role in defining and building out our security infrastructure and systems hand-in-hand with the scaling of our product and our business.

What you will do:

  • Develop, execute and track the performance of security measures to protect information and network & data infrastructure.

  • Design computer security strategy and engineer comprehensive security architecture.

  • Educate, train and support software engineers on information system security best practices and implementation.

  • Identify, define and document system security requirements and recommend solutions to leadership.

  • Configure, troubleshoot and maintain security infrastructure software and hardware.

  • Expand and maintain software that monitors systems and networks for security breaches and intrusions.

  • Plan, develop, implement and update the company's information security strategy.

  • Monitor systems for irregular behavior and set up alerting and preventive measures.


We think you will be a good match if you have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field

  • Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity and information security

  • Strong understanding of security best practices and standards

  • Hands-on experience with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability scanning tools

  • Knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration, teamwork and education

Location

Normative operates on a hybrid remote model with a main office in Stockholm. For this role you can be based either in Stockholm or work remotely within Sweden.

When hired remotely within Sweden, we will offer you a home office set up and you will be expected to travel to Stockholm to meet your team/the company approximately 6 times per year ( depending on role). To ensure we practice what we preach we use trains for trips under 6 hours of travel and flights only for longer travels.
