Summary

Maintains and improves the product’s electrical systems following required safety protocols. Tests and troubleshoots complex electrical problems with a moderate understanding of electrical controls and schematics. Operates in compliance with Danish / European Electrical Code, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for safe and proper assembly, testing, installation, and operation of the product.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Day to day hands on working on product assembly – electro-mechanical, preferably soldering, wiring, assembly of electrical/electronic components on the product.

2. Installs and monitors performance of electrical components for hazards, adjustments, or replacement.

3. Repairs, installs, replaces, and tests electrical circuits using appropriate tools and testing instruments.

4. Leads, guides, and/or trains other electricians in applicable procedures and techniques, coordinates system repairs.

5. Troubleshoots, tests, and inspects complex electrical systems like power distribution boards, PCBs, etc.

6. Uses computers and calibration equipment to control, test, and program electrical equipment (Adequate training shall be provided to use these equipment)

7. Plans, designs, and implements improved wiring schemes and procedures.

8. Contributes to finalizing the user guides and service procedures.

9. Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.

10. Reads, employs, and updates electrical assembly procedures, control documents, and building schematics.

11. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; at least 1-2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

• Knowledge of circuit diagrams.

• Knowledge electrical and electronic components like Gear Drives, Actuators, Controllers, various connectors, lugs, soldering practices, etc.

• Ability to use appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment to repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits and equipment.

• Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to day-to-day work.

• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical faults.

• Ability to lead and/or train customer staff or colleagues.

• Ability to read both product data sheets and electrical diagrams.

• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.

• Ability to isolate and repair defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment.

  
  

Distinguishing Characteristics

Position requires a) Troubleshooting and repairing electrical deficiencies in products at factory site and customer site; b) Carrying some spares to repair the product at customer site; c) Leading, guiding and/or training other electricians in applicable procedures and techniques; d) Proficiency in de-bugging electrical faults using circuit diagrams and product data sheets.

Conditions of Employment

• This is a full-time position and requires physical presence at work with limited or no possibility of remote work.

• Rarely, but must be able to attend customer complaints on weekends.

  
  

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

• Considerable physical activity (light weight work).

• Work involves almost frequent exposure to electrical low voltage supply, unusual elements, such as loud noise during some mechanical rework, dirt, dust, soldering fumes (rarely)

• Work environment does not involve exposure to any of the dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions.
