We're looking for a technical co-founder who loves good food and is ready to take Jungle to the next level

Jungle is an app about places.

By combining industry insider curation and modern storytelling, Jungle brings people closer together with their local independent food scene and all the characters, people, dishes and ideas that make it pop.

We work closely with local chefs, baristas and sommeliers to constantly unearth the most exciting places, and tell the story behind each place.

Jungle is already making a splash among tastemakers on the Copenhagen food scene, and organically growing in Berlin. We’ve developed a business model and roll-out tactics that can scale to other interesting food scenes like Paris, London and hopefully the rest of the World in the coming years.

As a business, we are transforming the way indie restaurants make money and build relations with their guests. As a team, we are looking to add a talented app-developer with room to grow into a vital part of the company.

Your responsibilities:

Develop the app experience for users, tastemakers and restaurants
Maintain and develop our wonderful app, built in React Native
Develop Jungle PRO, for indie businesses on the platform
Work with the product team to review user feedback

You probably have experience with one or more of the following:

Making apps. One way or the other.
Building in Javascript, React Native or Swift
Familiarity with iOS and Android design patterns

Jungle is community for guests and the people behind the independent food scene. Our mission? To build a 10x better way of discovering and experiencing all the great bakeries, restaurants, takeaways, wine bars, food trucks, pop-ups and dishes around you. To help people find all the hidden gems, we've built a community of industry people only. Here, local sommeliers and baristas to share their favorite places, dishes on the independent food scene So far, it's been a blast. Hundreds of industry people have joined and are actively adding new places. More than 500 cafés, bars, restaurants, takeaways and food trucks are already on the platform. Now, we are building tools to help with marketing, building deep connections with guests and an internal community of all the chefs, waiters, mixologists, bakers and baristas. Why do we do this? Well, firstly because we seriously have a thing for the independent places of this world! We want to empower all the great places and people behind it. Second of all, and we know this sounds like corporate BS of the smelliest calibre, but having worked with hundreds of places - we can only highlight how much positive effect these places have in thems of sustainability, the communities around them and the authentic experiences they connect us with. Finally, we think there is a massive opportunity here. People need an alternative to the crowdsourced rating apps out there, and there are tens of millions of cool indie places out there. Just as fine dining has the Michelin Guide, and global chains have their giant brands, we believe it's to get the independent food scene together in Jungle.
