As a young startup gearing to commercialize our core technology developed for academic research, we are seeking a highly motivated Backend Developer to join our team to deploy our core technology on the cloud. You are expected to work from our office in Søborg at least three days a week.

We started developing our core technologies a few years ago, and scientific software modules such as cluster expansion, Monte Carlo, and phase-field modeling have been implemented. We are working with universities and industrial partners to apply our technology to accelerate the development of new energy materials. What You Will Do: 

• Design, develop and maintain web-based applications using modern backend technologies based on JavaScript and databases such as MongoDB and PostgreSQL

• Lead the development activities of bringing our scientific core technology to the cloud

• Build a robust data and software infrastructure for a scalable service

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code and documentation

• Collaborate with our scientific and management team 

• Designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines

Who You Are: 

• Strong experience in web technologies based on JavaScript (Node.js, Express.js, Next.js) and either in MongoDB or PostgreSQL

• Experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure

• Strong experience with agile development methodologies

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Extensive experience with Git

• Strong communication skills and a team player
