As the VP Engineering at Airmee, you will build and scale a world-class product engineering team of 20 engineers that is growing quickly each month as we expand with new services and internationally.

So what will you do?

• Build a world-class tech team and be able to attract and retain talent. Our team is distributed across the world.

• Deep dive leadership: able to understand our technical infrastructure in depth and evaluate engineers

• Strategize and influence the product vision and roadmap in collaboration with the business and operations team

• Collaborate with product, data science, engineering, business and operations teams to analyse key business problems and deliver engineering solutions end to end

• Effectively work across the organisation and collaboratively with other teams

• Translate the strategic roadmap into a practical execution plan with quarterly OKR's to ensure that we ship features faster at an unmatched speed

• Build an influential culture of engineering excellence maintaining the balance and right trade-off for building products for speed and tech debt

• Set up processes to handle ad hoc support requests from customers, sales, and logistics operations to make sure the general execution cycle is not disturbed

• Develop an operational model to achieve operational excellence for the engineering and product teams

What're we looking for?

• Proven experience building software across the stack (mobile, platform, etc.)

• A minimum of 3 years of management building and leading a software engineering team in a fast-growing company/startup

• Strong understanding of technical architecture, system design, and problem solving acumen on complex technical challenges

• Willingness to dive deep and be hands-on

• Proven experience working cross-functionally with Product Management, Data Science, and Business partners

• Excellent written and verbal communication in English

• Passion for high quality, usable, fast and reliable software

• Exceptional work ethic

• Masters degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field
