The position

We are looking for our first full-time developer.

We want you to be the main responsible for building the future of our platform. Our platform is currently in its first version. The work will pose innovative challenges.

Your focus will very much be on getting stuff done, so you must be eager to produce a lot of great quality code in the beginning. When having demonstrated great coding and project management skills.

Who we are

You will be part of a team that consists of two full-time co-founders, one part-time co-founder and a handfull of specialists helping.

What we expect

Here is a list of our expectations to you:

• You have experience developing web-based applications in Ruby.

• You write automatic tests for your applications and understand the importance of reliable software.

• You have experience with a modern Javascript framework such as React, Vue or Angular.

• You enjoy finding the right solution with your team. You understand when to make compromises and what brings value to the product.

• You are comfortable in the terminal.

• You use a version control system such as Git.

These are our preferred stack and frames:

• Our backend will be in Ruby on Rails.

• Our frontend will sometimes be backend-generated in Rails with sparks of Javascript. Sometimes, we know we want to do SPA in React.

• We proudly follow TDD and strive for 100% test coverage. 

• We work in pairs and do pair-programming by default.

• We host our apps in Heroku and Azure. Occasionally, we use AWS.

• We use Github and Github Actions for the CI.

• Informal coffee chat, which primarily aims to ensure that there is good chemistry between us.

• 2 x "pairing session", where you, in close collaboration with two developers, solve a task.
