As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be leading Evyon’s development efforts for our commercial & industrial battery energy storage products. You will put your design, CAD, simulation and prototyping skills to use by developing our C&I battery storage solutions. You will focus on reliability and production optimization. You will be working with our engineering team to deliver safe, cutting edge and manufacturable products.

You should be able to understand clients' and markets' technical requirements, work with the team to design and implement technical architectures of battery energy storage systems, interact with suppliers to select and integrate external subcomponents into our products, and ensure the handover to external manufacturing partners is done with excellent end results.

What will you be doing?

You will start by supporting the commercialization of our first battery energy storage product with a focus on engineering details and rework for the certification process. Collaborating with teams and joining efforts to build and deliver reliable and certified products will be the ramp to the success of Evyon. From there, the main responsibilities will be:

• Supporting the deployment and subsequent rework of the battery energy storage pilot series
• Customization and configuration change implementation for new markets (harsh environments, mobile applications, ++)
• Reworking and adapting the design for new types of repurposed EV batteries
• Battery energy storage components verification and redesign for improved performances or new applications
• Developing the electrical teams’ skills and knowledge
• Preparing and implementing test plans for the design

What are the ideal qualifications?

• MSc in Electrical Engineering or vocational education in a relevant field / equivalent work experience
• Detailed electrical engineering capabilities with a focus on the design of systems up to 1000V and 300A
• Multidisciplinary knowledge demonstrated thru past projects/experience (software, mechanical, industrial, DFM, DFR, ++) and ability to interact with cross-disciplinary teams
• Experience with the development of medium-volume products and subsequent lifecycle phases (1-10k/year)
• Experience with electrical systems and energy systems certification is a plus
• Lithium-ion battery experience is a plus
• Experience working in labs and performing testing (verification and validation) is a plus
• Fluency in English is a must
