We are looking for software developers who are students or soon-to-be graduates and are motivated by working on software that has a measurable impact on business. You have already gained some hands-on experience with different programming languages and have a growth hacking mindset. With us, you’ll get to grow professionally amongst over 150 exceptionally talented people while helping our customers grow their businesses. Wouldn’t this be just the ideal way to start your software consulting career?
In 2016 Columbia Road was founded to challenge the old ways of doing digital business and running online sales – we exist to help our clients sell better in the digital era. This means we don’t do IT projects like most other companies, instead we work to improve our clients’ business results in a measurable way. Design, development, strategy, marketing and data engineering just happen to be the tools with which we create our impact.
A key part of our mission is to be an excellent place to work. We are a community-led organisation, which means that we trust our employees to make the best decisions about their work themselves. This company model is based on transparency and low hierarchy. All employees have the opportunity to be involved in company-wide decision-making, and the chance to become an owner of Columbia Road by investing in company stocks. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the heart of how we define ourselves and everyone at Columbia Road is committed to these values. We come recommended with a 4.9/5 score on Glassdoor and are always looking for new ways to be better.
As a software developer, you are interested in what happens under the hood of modern digital sales channels. You are familiar with one or two technologies such as JavaScript, Typescript, React, Node.js, iOS/Android, ReactNative, Clojure, Scala, PHP, Python or some other front-end or back-end technology. Both backend and front-end development interest you — but of course we don't expect you to know it all — it's much more important that you are eager to learn new technologies and ways of working.
You’ll get to work together with other Columbia Road consultants in a cross-competence team building and growing new digital businesses for our customers in various business domains. This means you may collaborate daily with designers, digital marketers, strategy consultants, as well as our clients' stakeholders and specialists. You’ll have a top-of-the-class development team to support you in learning and you’ll have the ability to create real impact in our clients’ business.
If you're looking for a workplace where you get a lot of responsibility and where you get to learn new things fast from more senior experts, you'll find it here. You will get to grow with us, nurture your own ambitions and learn new skills within digital sales.
Requirements
aka. here's how you know you're a good fit:
Location: We value close and constant collaboration in our teamwork – whether with customers, fellow Roadies and/or consultants from other companies – as it enables us to learn from each other and work more efficiently towards a shared goal. Often this is achieved best by working from the same location. Hence, we can only consider candidates who live (or plan to move) within commuting distance of Stockholm.
Note: We are currently not able to offer visa sponsorships for Sweden, so, unfortunately, we can't consider applications from outside the EU/EEA.
Benefits
The deadline for applications is January 31st, 2023 (Tuesday). The interview process consists of a short phone screen and one interview round where you will meet two of us. Both phases will be conducted for selected candidates in January/February. After sending your application, you can expect to hear back from us by February 10th, and you will be notified of the status of your application at each stage.
The program starts latest in April, either working full-time or part-time. You can also start working part-time earlier on in the spring. The start date and possible holidays during the summer will be discussed and set together with the selected candidates. After the summer, if expectations have been met from both sides, you can continue part-time while you finish your studies (or full-time if you're graduating).
