Compensation & Benefit Specialist

Salary Competitive
Equity To be negotiated

To our People & Talents team, we are looking for an analytical, informal and result oriented Compensation & Benefits Specialist as we embark on our growth journey.

As mentioned, you will become part of our People & Talents team and we can’t wait. To introduce who we are: Flemming (Chief People Officer), Berit (Head of People and Talents and who you will refer to), Amalie, Jaramie and Emily (Business Partners) and our two Student Workers, Sille and Page. Currently, we are also looking for a People Operations Specialist to lead our people operations and implement a HR system.

You will be responsible for our C&B across different departments in Trackunit and play a crucial role in building a professional HR setup. This is a great opportunity for you to build and impact on our C&B processes and really leave your mark in this area. In other words: Owning and setting the direction of the employee experience at Trackunit is what we offer you!

We offer you a flexible setup with the possibility to work from home, but we expect you to be present at the Aalborg hub regularly. Other than the People & Talents team, you will be working closely with our finance department (primarily based at our Aalborg hub as well) and key stakeholders across our international offices, mainly in EMEA, US and Canada.

First of all: The context - coming together to connect construction

We believe in taking a people approach in everything we do. Being human-centric is not restricted to our products - it’s a way of life at Trackunit. We believe people flourish and work at their best when we establish meaning, autonomy, freedom, and mastery. That’s why we do everything we can to keep our hearts, minds, and brains open – just like we strive to keep our organisational boundaries open.

Our 375 colleagues get together in hubs spread across the globe, but we embrace the idea of working remotely and in environments that inspire you. Everything we do, we do it to eliminate downtime and build the most useful industry for the world.

In this job you will be exposed to a wide variety of responsibilities such as:

  • Contribute in planning, coordination and execution of annual cycle C&B activities and annual HR activities across the business.

  • Review, update and coordinate Trackunit’s compensation plans and benefit packages in all countries of operation.

  • Ensuring updated people data, workforce metrics and GDPR compliance.

  • Conceptualizing and implementing short-term incentive programs.

  • Co-create materials and approach for Remuneration Committee Meetings.

  • Support the implementation of a HR-system.

  • Driving our salary review process and owning our contracts in close cooperation with our new People Operations Specialist. We are currently preparing for our merit process in spring 2023.

  • Professionalize and streamline our processes and tools around C&B. To highlight the tools that we already have internally, we use Mercer’s Comptryx for salary benchmarking.

  • Business Process Management of all C&B processes in order to ensure that these are well understood, aligned and established in the organization.

  • Ensure that the processes can be executed with a balance between high quality and speed in order to reduce lead time and ease the administrative burden.

  • Ad hoc support on People Data for Board of Directors’ meetings.

  • We are growing rapidly and part of our growth strategy is acquiring other companies. In these situations, we expect you to have a leading role.

As C&B Specialist you will be responsible for the optimization of all C&B processes based on thorough analysis and most of all, possibilities for improvement. It is expected that you are able to independently drive the above-mentioned responsibilities, even though many will be carried out in collaboration with colleagues and business leaders.

Who are you ideally?

  • We hope you have a good sense of humor and know how to spice up virtual meetings in our People & Talents team (the rest of us are really boring and need help).

  • You find it motivating and as an interesting step in your career that you individually will own the C&B field at Trackunit at this point.

  • As a person you are a team player and can see yourself as an important player in our People and Talents team.

  • You are an experienced user of Excel and a ninja when it comes to benchmarking of roles

  • Experience in developing and administrating C&B tools, frameworks and programs (e.g. incentives, bonus etc.).

  • Experience in reporting on People Data/KPIs (BI).

  • You have the ability to partner with the business to understand business needs and translate into concrete actions and strategies and are able to navigate in a global context.

  • You speak and write English fluently and are an excellent communicator, as you will be cooperating with a lot of different stakeholders globally.

Don't meet every single requirement? No worries - this is what we're looking for ideally, but if you're super excited about this role but your past experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification, we encourage you to apply.

Why you should choose Trackunit

  • You'll join an ambitious, global People & Talents team where we set the bar high while having fun. It's also a team where you are expected to take ownership of and impact the way we're doing things. We are (and the organization as well) people first, purpose-driven and compassionate in our work and with our colleagues.

  • A place and a community in an agile growth SaaS business with a start-up mentality where you can make yourself useful within and outside the People & Talents domain area.

  • Great personal development opportunities through experimentation, coaching, mindfulness, and Impact Conversations every quarter, where we together shape your learning path. Your growth is as important to us, as it is to you.

  • International environment with regular check-ins with the whole company and a very lively Slack Community.

  • Social virtual and in-person events across teams, functions and borders. In 2022 we connected, laughed and had fun in Italy.

  • We are on the journey towards eliminating downtime, all together – and all our colleagues that are a part of Trackunit are acknowledged and a huge part of reaching our goals. Because of that, we offer you to be part of the share program at Trackunit.

Overview of the recruitment process

  • Meet and greet - likely on a virtual call. Here you will meet Berit (Head of People & Talents and your potential immediate manager) and one of your potential new colleagues from our People & Talents team.

  • Personality-based interview. You will be asked to fill out an online personality assessment (we use Hogan) prior to the interview. In the interview, you will first of all get feedback, but the aim is just as well to have a dialogue about what you thrive in, what we offer etc.

  • Assignment specific interview. Based on the learnings from the process you will be given a case to prepare. You will present the case to the hiring manager and other relevant new colleagues. Preferably in person.

  • Offer presentation and walk through. We're excited and lucky to have you!

Now the big question is: Are you in?

Working at
Trackunit

Welcome to the world of Trackunit - welcome to our human operating system! We consider The Trackunit Way and our leadership model as a competitive advantage. Leadership hasn’t changed that much in the last 100 years and many of the original dogmas are still in play and being used, despite the world we live in has changed dramatically within the same period of time. The way we work matters, and it has never been more important to focus on that to keep us relevant and competitive – that’s why we put our money on people, purpose, collaboration, belonging, and leadership. At Trackunit, we’re committed to construction - one of the largest industries in the world. It’s an industry of strong, hard-working people, building the infrastructure of our lives. An industry that used to be known for the cities it built and the landscapes it formed. For complex infrastructures and the rise of skyscrapers in unthinkable shapes and sizes. Construction enables each one of us to live better lives through safer roads and rails, modern hospitals and schools, offices and homes. But for too long, the industry has been known for blown-up budgets and schedules delayed by months. At Trackunit, we believe we can still do the impossible and rebuild the reputation of the industry. New technology has emerged, and today we know more than ever before. We build the services that enable construction to work smarter together and grow faster together. An industry that has long been the laggard of digital transformation is now at a tipping point. Change is happening. What impact are you going to make?
