CTO and co-founder of Litir

Do you want to create the next generation of analysis tools for the financial industry?

Litir is looking for a CTO and co-founder that will work to revolutionize the way financial professionals work.

We are two current co-founders with relevant experience from the end-market (Goldman Sachs, McKinsey, Nordea) working full time at Litir. We have built an alpha version of our platform that has been tested on relevant end-users, and we have received our first funding. We are currently raising a pre-seed funding round to secure our runway for the next year.

About Litir

Litir is a software application with an end-to-end workflow for data access, analysis, visualization and presentation to aid investment professionals in all aspects of their daily work.

Litir and the problem we are solving

The tools used for financial analyses across the financial industry have not changed for decades. We believe the current technology now enables a new generation of tools that align with the workflows in financial analysis. Our platform automates a range of typical financial and valuation analyses by integrating data, analysis and visualization/outputs. This will save significant time for investment professionals, reduce errors, and importantly also improve work satisfaction by automating menial tasks for financial professionals (which we’ve been through ourselves just a few years ago).

Who you will be joining - Meet Anthon and Frederik

We are two ambitious co-founders who have extensive experience with the financial industry and financial analysis. We know our end user well and have a clear vision for the long term potential of our platform.

Our combined experience includes working in investment banking, consulting, private equity, and venture capital, in Denmark and abroad.

Anthon - CEO

Anthon started his career with Goldman Sachs in London before moving back to Denmark to work in investment banking at Nordea. The last two years he has worked as an investor for Chr. Augustinus Fabbriker. Here one of his primary responsibilities was building out the new venture capital segment. Anthon made several investments in the space (around Series A) and most importantly became very interested in venture capital and gained a large network in the industry.

Anthon has lived, worked and studied around the world including in the USA, UK and France. He currently lives in Boston (on the Harvard Business School campus) where his wife is doing her MBA. USA is the world's largest and most sophisticated financial market and Anthon is working on establishing Litir there, both in terms of funding opportunities and future customers and partnerships.

Outside of work, Anthon is a lifelong Brøndby fan, and enjoys reading and gaming in his spare time (Age of Empires is a particular favorite).

Frederik - CPO

Frederik started his career working with investments at Novo Holdings and JP Morgan in London before realizing he wanted to also get experience with strategic and operational challenges. He then spent ~3 years at McKinsey, before working with strategy at GN Audio. Throughout his career in consulting and strategy, M&A has been a key part of Frederik’s professional life, although as a true strategy consultant, he’s been exposed to nearly all aspects of a business.

Frederik has lived, worked, and studied around the world, including in the USA, UK, and Hong Kong. Frederik remains in Copenhagen, where he’s establishing the Danish office and attracting local talent.

Frederik is a lifelong Copenhagen and Chelsea fan, as well as being a big F1 fan (Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton to be more specific). In his spare time he enjoys reading Tolkien literature, history, and dominating Anthon in Age of Empires.

Who we are looking for

Ideally, you are a full-stack developer with experience in building and designing software products but we will consider a wide range of candidates. You do not need experience in the financial industry. Grit, drive, curiosity, and ambition are the most important attributes we are looking for. If you have those, in our experience, anything can be achieved.

You have to be excited about building what can be hugely impactful and be willing to face challenges with a positive attitude. You should get a kick out of the prospect of being part of an early stage start-up with all the mess, setbacks, and hard work that entails. Most importantly you want to learn, and are a long-term thinker that can be instrumental in realizing our vision for the company.

Social and management skills will be required as you will be responsible for a remote engineering team, and the strategy and roadmap they will be implementing. You will be our expert on the technical side, who we will listen and learn from, guiding us all on a common journey towards success.

Skills and experience

  • Full-stack developer with experience in software architecture and design.

  • You should be able to make the architectural decisions but we do have a network that can answer questions and provide feedback - you will not be completely on your own.

  • You will be in charge of a team building out our product in collaboration with partners in the industry. You do not require managerial experience but you should be comfortable interacting with a wide range of stakeholders - and be willing to learn and build your people management skills.

  • You should be passionate about providing the best possible user experience. The customer segment we are targeting are picky and specific - let’s help each other make them happy.

  • You have a strategic mindset with an eye on the long-term impact of decisions we make today.

We are looking for passion and curiosity. Tell us about your previous experience, side hustles or what interests you in your spare time.

What we’re offering

We have been working on Litir since early 2022 and made good progress. From September 2022 we are working full time. We have an alpha version we are testing with relevant users in our network, and have received great feedback to continue development. Now we’re ready to take our idea to customers with the goal of initiating partnerships, where we develop the product in close collaboration to ensure complete product/market fit.

The first step in your employment would be to work with us on a smaller scale project to ensure that we work well together before both sides committing fully. After that we would move in with full scale development. We expect to close our pre seed round in early 2023, which will provide a runway to execute on our roadmap.

As a co-founder you will get part of the equity and be a core part of the team. To ensure aligned incentives this equity would vest over a given period. You would be one of three co-founders with the potential to work on disrupting a multi-billion dollar industry. You would be part of a company with an international scope and ambition, and a large network in the business and venture community.

Our HQ will be in Copenhagen but you can be based anywhere and we expect our team to be mostly remote given that we are already bi-continental.

Our process

We are looking for a partner that will be a core part of the team for decades to come. We see this process as a chance for both parties to “interview” and get to know each other as both parties will be making long term, impactful commitments. Hence, it is important we get to know each other - and a candidate should feel free to ask as many questions as necessary. We see the process to be somewhat like below - although we’re open to add additional interactions if so desired.

  1. An introductory call with Anthon. Anthon will explain the vision and take questions. This should be a casual conversation to get to know each other.

  2. An introductory call with Frederik. Frederik will tell more about our product, specifications, and challenges. This should be a casual conversation to get to know each other.

  3. If both sides agree to move to the next stage, there will be a new more formal interview. The candidate will answer some questions beforehand that can then be discussed in the meeting.

  4. A call/meeting with both Frederik and Anthon to talk about our roadmap.

  5. We agree on a project we can work on together (2 weeks time). We will have bi-weekly check-ins.

  6. We debrief on the project and decide whether we should move on to formalize our partnership.

  7. Agree on terms of salary, equity and other formal aspects of the collaboration.
