About the Programme   

Sustainability Advocates is a volunteering educational programme that runs under the roof of Station, the Student Innovation House Copenhagen. It targets students and recent graduates from multiple educational backgrounds, who wish to make an impact in the field of sustainability. Through the programme they will gain knowledge on sustainability and how to implement it into meaningful projects, working together with companies and institutions in the Copenhagen area. 

Sustainability Advocates is an entirely student-driven programme where students can implement their own sustainability-related project ideas and take ownership. The programme consists of a Leadership Team that jointly defines the framework of the programme, commits to a series of projects, and sets goals for them. After this kick-off phase, the leadership team then recruits students to work with them on these projects for a time frame of 4 months between February and June.

General qualifications to become part of the Leadership Team 

• Student or recent graduate in the Copenhagen area with the ability to commit to the programme 

• Ability to work both independently as well as in a team 

• Fluent in English.  

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively 

• Open-minded, compassionate, and proactive   

• Passionate about the UN SDGs, sustainability, and change-making  

 Community & Network 

As Head for Community & Network, you will be working closely with the Head of HR & Events. Your most important job will be to make sure all Sustainability Advocates are happy, love what they do, and are doing their best! To do this, you will encourage exchange among each other and in the Station network by organizing social gatherings that keep the team spirit high.

• Building relationships with programme participants and bringing the good vibes  

• Organizing and participating in social events to build community and boost brand awareness  

• Engaging the programme participants on the platforms (Slack, Facebook groups, and more)  

• Gathering feedback from the participants and evaluating the programme to raise its quality   

• Building an alumni network of former and current Sustainability Advocates
