About the Programme 

Sustainability Advocates is a volunteering educational programme that runs under the roof of Station, the Student Innovation House Copenhagen. It targets students and recent graduates from multiple educational backgrounds, who wish to make an impact in the field of sustainability. Through the programme they will gain knowledge on sustainability and how to implement it into meaningful projects, working together with companies and institutions in the Copenhagen area.

Sustainability Advocates is an entirely student-driven programme where students can implement their own sustainability-related project ideas and take ownership. The programme consists of a Leadership Team that jointly defines the framework of the programme, commits to a series of projects, and sets goals for them. After this kick-off phase, the leadership team then recruits students to work with them on these projects for a time frame of 4 months between February and June.

General qualifications to become part of the Leadership Team

Student or recent graduate in Copenhagen area with the ability to commit to the programme
Ability to work both independently as well as in a team
Fluent in English
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
Open-minded, compassionate, and proactive

Passionate about the UN SDGs, sustainability, and change-making

The role of the HR Manager

There will be 2 HR & Event Managers for the programme. As an HR & Event Manager, you will be organizing the recruitment process, be responsible for the entire onboarding journey of all new Sustainability Advocates and will be arranging monthly workshops to provide the programme participants with the tools and knowledge they need for succeeding in their projects.

We are an interdisciplinary community of students and recent graduates who 1. create the most thriving crossdisciplinary student community 2. empower students through hands-on programmes and projects about sustainability, innovation and entrepreneurship, and 3. engage in collaborations with the private, public and civic sector. We are 30-40 core volunteers and around 250 members split into smaller teams doing programmes, projects and activities. We are from every university in greater Copenhagen and specialize in a multitude of different disciplines ranging from STEM to social sciences and journalism to everything business related. We are also culturally mixed with approximately 50% Danish and 50% Internationals. We are based in the 100-year-old police station of Frederiksberg that we have just transformed to the slickest space for 52 million DKK to fit the ideas of bright minds.
