About the Role

Hem currently has an opening for a full-time Sales Lead to be based out of New York, NY. Reporting to the North American Sales Manager, the Sales Lead will generate leads and sales and be empowered to own and grow Hem's contract sales business in the New York region. With support from the global Hem team, the Sales Lead will drive active engagement with A&D, dealer, and end user clients in the territory to help them solve design challenges and maximize Hem's share of floor plate in identified contract projects. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute on Hem’s commercial strategy in the New York region in collaboration with the North American and Global Business Development Teams.
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals for the region.
  • Increase Hem’s awareness in New York by driving different sales and marketing initiatives, such as by attending and networking at industry events and hosting product demonstrations, presentations, lunch & learns, workshops, etc. 
  • Establish and build relationships with architects, designers, end users, and dealers and engage with them about Hem, Hem’s products, Hem Pro, and Hem’s ability to respond to contract customers’ business needs and requirements.
  • Identify local and global end customers within the New York market and establish relationships with their design teams in an effort to standardize Hem’s products within their global design guidelines.
  • Serve as a resource within Hem’s Commercial Team, giving advice and taking ownership in helping to develop Hem’s B2B offering (including tasks outside of the job description that will benefit B2B sales).

Qualifications:

  • Experience dealing directly with top New York A&D firms, contract dealers, and/or end users and a proven track record of sucess in all aspects of a sale, from identification to consultation and closing.
  • Knowledge of the contract furniture industry, including key ancillary competitors, projects in process, and network of relationships with industry contacts within the New York territory. 
  • Self-motivated, proactive approach to contract furniture sales, with a desire to grow the New York territory's book of business. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and strong comfort level with giving product and company presentations. 
  • Proficient in Google Workspace and Salesforce CRM. 
  • Adaptable and agile team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
