What is this role about?

As the Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst, you will design, make, and maintain reporting across Januar.

Your core responsibility will be to set up automated reports and dashboards, owning Januar's data environments. You will be part of our Operations team of five people, reporting directly to our Head of Operations.

Projects will typically be a combination of operational, regulatory, performance and compliance/risk-based reporting. As a rule, all reporting across the business will be open to you, should you find value in going outside of the original scope. Nothing is impossible.

With help from our talented tech department, you will be responsible for collecting and organising data from all areas of the business, setting you up to be the central hub for all data queries.

The role lends itself well to someone who wants to find the optimal solution, be active in the design- and decision process, and deliver world-class reporting.

Setting expectations

Priorities in a fast-moving company change regularly, but below is a glimpse into the core responsibilities of the role.

Responsibilities and daily activities:

• Create automated reports

• Delivering and maintaining reports

• Own and document data definitions and relationships in data warehouse

• Own and promote the use of reporting platform

• Deliver analysis and modelling

• Suggest reporting that adds value across the business

To be successful in the role, we expect you to:

• Deliver, on average, one high quality, automated report or dashboard to the business each week

• Automate 90% of reports and dashboards

• Within 3 months: Define and document a data warehouse architecture, setup and data relationships (with assistance from Tech)

• Within 6 months: Decide upon and deliver an accessible reporting platform

• After 6 months: Actively identify and deliver on reporting projects across the business, with a business value at least equating to your salary level

What do you bring to the table?

We are looking for a self-starter with a high drive to create value, who can design, deliver and maintain reporting across the business.

Furthermore, you will need to have

• A high level of proficiency with at least one data language such as SQL, SAS, Python or PowerBI. The exact language is less important, but your skills must be of such a level that you are self-sufficient, can create automatic reports, and you can teach others to do the same

• Sufficient proficiency in reading and speaking Danish (or other Nordic language) for communicating with the Danish FSA and other authorities

• Experience from the financial sector is a plus, but not a requisite

It is a requirement that you have a valid Danish work permit and live in Denmark (or are willing to move at your own cost). 

You furthermore must be able to present a clean criminal record.

What is Januar? 

Januar ApS is a startup in the dynamic fintech space in Copenhagen, on a mission to build the gate for EU crypto companies. We recently launched our first product, offering payment accounts to crypto businesses. Although Januar is only a little over one year old, we are already 30+ friendly and highly skilled individuals, and we expect to grow the team steadily over the coming year.

Our recruitment process
