We're looking for a highly skilled backend developer to join our small, but outstanding and growing development team to help build and expand the Biowatch platform.
At Biowatch we want to lead the transformation from reactive “sick-care“ to preventive “self-care” within physical and mental health.
Biowatch is trusted not only by corporations for employee well-being, but also for elite sports teams, olympic gold medalists, and even the Danish seals.
Our digital platform supports access to expert counselling and interventions based on analysis of data in blood, saliva, wearables and input from end-users. The data of actionable insights may be conveyed to individuals and - on an aggregated, anonymized level - to corporations enabling optimization of both end-users and organizations. We collect blood and saliva via smart devices easily done by the end-user and provide them with “best in class” data and actionable insights to determine and realize potential and proactively prevent what is preventable.
To deliver our platform to end-users, health care professionals, customers as well as ourselves with internal tools, we use a NodeJS GraphQL server, Google Cloud Platform and Sanity.io - and to enrich the experience we integrate with external APIs and BigQuery.
In this job you will:
Build and extend the GraphQL API (NodeJS)
Integrate external APIs with our system
Extend our use of BigQuery
We also expect you to:
Be used to secure coding practices
Work independently
Work structured and have an analytical approach and learn from mistakes
Have a strong moral compass
Be based in Europe, +/- two hours of CET timezone
The platform is still in an early stage and you will be able to have a massive impact on our product, and literally help save and improve people's lives!
In Biowatch we truly care about each other, we encourage people to take breaks, we offer support whenever it's needed. And we walk the talk, and offer our preventive health packages to all employees, including health check-up and stress & performance tests, online guides and expert advice for everyone to become healthier whether physically or mentally.
Most of all though, we offer a unique chance to make an impact and be a part of a truly excellent team whose vision is to literally change the world, going from reactive "sick care" to proactive "self-care".
You will be challenged, build great products with new, modern tools and get a chance to grow continuously as an engineer and as a person.
Biowatch is a Danish company and with the "Scandinavian mindset". We foster a merit-based culture where the best ideas win. We value long-term partnerships with everyone we work with, including all employees - and in extension of that we offer a competitive salary and potentially an equity package.
Naturally you will also have paid maternity/paternity leave, paid holiday and flexible working hours (results matter, not hours).
Start September 1st or by agreement.
PS. If you prefer working at an office instead of remote, that is also possible: we have an office in Lyngby, Denmark and we also have access to office facilities in Aarhus, Denmark.
