Butter is a Fintech startup and our mission is to provide financial wellness to hourly paid & gig workers.

We have been live for roughly 1.5 years with our product and our users absolutely love Butter. We have been lucky / skilled enough to get to work with some of the most exciting brands in the hospitality industry (Madklubben, OliOli, Letz Sushi and many more)!

We have just raised a large undisclosed round from some of Europe’s leading investors and business angels, and are now getting ready to embark on our journey as a global scale-up. Prior to this Founders & Vækstfonden have invested in our pre-seed round.

ūü§© The role: Account Executive

We are looking for an Account Executive, who is ready to take the next step and spread Butter out in Denmark (see what we did there?). This role is also an opportunity to come in and help form a sales function from the ground up in a fast-growing startup.

The role will require you rolling up your sleeves from day one, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting leads via outbound activities, qualifying opportunities, delivering amazing product demos and following up to ensure the customers are happy.

We have a sales team of one account executive and the CEO, and are now fully focused on optimising the commercial engine.

Butter is going to go from 13 employees to 35+ in under a year, so a lot of change will be happening - predicting exactly how the role will develop is impossible.

ūüė鬆The job and responsibilities

Daily activities include:

  • Full-funnel sales activities:

    • Mapping & prospecting activities

    • Start conversations through outbound sales efforts

    • Set up meetings with decision-makers in mid to large size companies

    • Demonstrate the product to decision-makers

    • Negotiate deals

  • Company-building:

    • Continue developing our sales processes

    • Document efforts in CRM

    • Test out different sales approaches with a data-oriented approach

  • Relationship-building:

    • Ensure a good hand over to our Customer Success team

ūüéȬ†About you

Do you have great energy, a good sense of humor, and a sky-high ambition level? Then you might be the perfect candidate!

You should enjoy working in a dynamic startup environment, love speaking to people and be good at understanding companies’ problems.

We look for team members who like being a team player, take initiative, and have a mindset of learning & growing.

We expect you to:

  • Speak and write Danish & English fluently

  • Have sales experience - Ideally you have worked 3-5 years with sales in a B2B environment within SAAS / software sales

Nice to have:

  • Experience selling to retail and hospitality

  • Be ambitious - you love hitting targets and are able to self-motivate!

  • Be bold - you‚Äôre not afraid to pick up the phone to get to tell people about Butter

  • Have excellent communication skills

  • Have a good sense of humour - be willing to contribute to this being a fun place to work

  • Be excited by building a big company from a small starting point, and want to grow personally on the way there

  • Be able to work at our office in Copenhagen (though you are free to choose to work remotely as well)
