What is the role of a Business Development Manager?
As our new Business Development Manager, you will be working for the Nordic market, through our lovely office headquartered in Copenhagen. Your primary focus will be to ensure the continued growth of Firmnav by leading and driving Business Development. Firmnav by generating new sales opportunities through various prospecting and account penetration strategies. In this role, you will be the direct link between sales and business units. You will be an integral part of the management team and will be working side on side with the founding team as well.
Your main responsibilities, but not limited to, are the following:
Provide regional/country insights and needs for strategic planning
Initiate contact and establish relations with customers/leads
Strategize on client dialogue and contact
Close collaboration with both product and support teams to ensure feature requests and other important feedback is handled.
Ensure and optimize customer success and retention
Establish relations with potential clients
Identify, establish, and initiate contact with relevant customers/leads
Build, manage, and maintain a robust sales pipeline of prospects
What does it take to succeed in the role of a Business Development Manager?
For you to be successful in this position, we expect you to have a couple of years of experience within sales, strategic marketing, and business development, advantageously within a SaaS company. You contain a passion for clients and contain a profound understanding of how to manage them. On a more personal note, you are an extrovert, energetic and positive person with an ambitious mindset looking to excel and learn. Most importantly, you must possess emotional intelligence and an entrepreneurial mindset. In this start-up environment, the opportunities are endless.
In addition, we expect the following:
A degree within business, marketing, or similar.
3-5 years of sales experience, preferably within a SaaS company
Strong flair for Sales and Business Development
Highly driven, never settles, and can overcome rejection
Always strives to be the best and win
More of a hunter than a farmer in sales (outbound experience strongly preferred)
Be able to work independently and take full ownership
Winning attitude and whatever-if-takes mentality - you must understand that there are easy days and hard days and be able to get through them both
Excellent English fluency
