Internship - Tomorrow Summit
Do you want to help create Denmark's new international summit for companies and organizations on the road to a sustainable transition? Do event management and the green transition in an international perspective turn you on? Then read further:
As Summit Intern at Tomorrow, you will be an important player in the preparation of Tomorrow Summit, which kicks off on Friday 26th August 2022 in Valbyparken in Copenhagen: a summit for 400 business leaders who, after the conference, will return to their organization and create positive, sustainable change there.
You will become part of our small Summit team. You will help plan and run the program, work closely with our internal and external partners, communicate with participants and speakers at the summit, organize catering, prepare production plans, attendance lists, tickets and much more!
Interning at Tomorrow
As an intern at Tomorrow, you are assigned responsibilities, you develop and you learn something. It is important to us that you have an influence on your internship, so that the assignments correspond to your wishes and your studies. You will therefore have regular meetings with your line manager about your internship.
Your tasks include
Helping with project management and project administration up to and during the production of Tomorrow Summit
Communicating with participants and speakers
Preparing material for participants and speakers at Tomorrow Summit such as invitations and information sheets
Creating participant lists
Assisting in the project and program team's preparatory work with the festival, including leading smaller projects according to desire and ability
Booking of transport and hotel and other administrative tasks
You will get
To train your project manager competencies
Extensive experience with event management
Experience with concept development
Gain insight into how to create a targeted and relevant program for business and top executives
Training in professional handling of invitations, communication and delivery, both for internal and external purposes
Experience in being part of a new organization that is passionate about change
Hands-on experience with project evaluation
Close to colleagues who are passionate about sustainability and who only want the best for you
Who are you?
You write and speak English at native and professional level. Communication at and around Summit takes place primarily in English
You are interested in the challenges of the green agenda
You may already have event management experience or at least an interest in the field
You are able to follow a high work pace and keep yourself occupied during quiet times
You are an experienced user of Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Graphic design experience is desirable, but not a must
You are structured, detail-oriented and able to juggle many balls to make everything fit into a program
You live in Denmark and can travel to the office in Copenhagen as often as possible (please note: this is a strict requirement)
Duration and practicalities
The internship is intended to last 3-6 months, depending on your studies. We would like you to start as soon as possible. We are happy to discuss dividing up the internship so that it suits your exams and studies. You must commit to set aside all of week 34 for the project where we will run both Tomorrow Festival and Tomorrow Summit.
The internship is intended to be 37 hours per week, but your studies are the first priority. The internship is unpaid. Tomorrow is happy to supply you with a computer but it is also possible to use your own. A work phone will not be made available unless otherwise agreed.
