Our passion and drive in Hedia is to improve the quality of life for people with insulin-dependent diabetes through medical device software. This position will focus on the design and development of user interfaces for patient-facing solutions. We are looking for a skilled designer who is a detail-oriented problem solver with a passion for all aspects of the design process from up front discovery to detailing handoff documents. Our ideal candidate will be comfortable taking the initiative and championing UI/UX design efforts within the design team.

Conceptualise rational and intuitive user interfaces that simplify complex tasks and workflows to help users achieve their goals and improve their diabetes management. 


What you will be doing on our team:

  • Create stunning visual design that shows off your top-notch abilities in illustration, colour, composition and iconography.

  • Conceptualise rational and intuitive user interfaces that simplify complex tasks and workflows to help users achieve their goals.

  • Be the frontrunner to generate clean, innovative, and elegant design solutions for complex digital products and experiences.

  • Working with our talented team of in-house medical specialists, commercial department, data scientists and developers to execute deliverables of the highest standard.

  • Develop mockups and high-fidelity interactive prototypes for concept validation and user testing.

  • Produce comprehensive documentation including process maps, and create annotated UI style kits and design guidelines.

  • User interface design and design system documentation.

  • User research, concept testing, and usability testing.

  • Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, with a variety of team members and stakeholders.

  • Ability to think through user flows and translate to visual designs.

  • Understand product specifications and user psychology and predict what might work for both.

 

Our ideal candidate

In Hedia, we are driven by the purpose of helping people with diabetes, so we are looking for a candidate that shares the same wish to support this vision. We expect that you will have an interest in Healthcare and the latest trends when it comes to technology innovation and product development. 

  • 5+ years of industry experience in UX/UI design roles

  • Excellent skills in design software (e.g. Figma, AdobeXD, Sketch). We would expect to see a relevant portfolio.

  • Built and managed component based design system.

  • Excellent understanding of information architecture and information design; UI patterns and processes; and mastery of design principles such as typography, illustration, imagery, content, and composition.

  • Not afraid to think creatively even in a highly medically regulated space.

  • Creates stunning visuals to be used in decks, in-app, website, newsletters and even more. 

  • Our company language is English, your written English needs to be excellent, yet it is required that you are fluent in Danish as your primary role is to conduct hand-on testing with our Danish speaking test participants.

  • Bonus: Experience with video editing and photography and print.
