Copyright Agent A/S are looking for an ambitious Director of Legal Affairs to step into a central role in our further development. Powered by a recent public listing on Nasdaq First North Growth Market and a strong strategy we are heading for global expansion, and we need a driven legal mind on the journey with us.

We call our full-service solution IPRaaS - IPRaaS stands for Intellectual Property Rights as a Service, and we work with our brains and hearts to help our clients manage their copyrighted content online. We strongly believe that producing original work should always be time well spent and always worth the effort for the creator. We are currently active in more than 15 markets across two continents and have an ambitious plan to open significantly on more continents during 2022.
Key responsibilities
Together with the Group CFO, you as our new Head of Legal will:
Build and lead a strong Legal Team
Define the strategy for our global legal efforts
Take on principle cases to the highest courts in Europe and the US with support from specialised trial lawyers
Build up a global setup with local lawyers
Supported by Finance, be budget responsible for our Legal Team and all global legal efforts
Build strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders
Create an internal knowledge database and define and maintain effective legal procedures in Copyright Agent and actively develop our internal legal competences
Actively drive and support the globalisation of the group
Have hands-on processing of collection and court cases
Be our primary contact person for external lawyers
Educate/communicate internally/externally on legal issues/policies
Support on commercial contracts, incl. negotiations
Provide general legal advice to Management and the Board

We think this might be you:
You have a Master Degree in Law
You have experience with civil litigation and have a thorough understanding of court proceedings, evidence and costs of litigation
You have experience building and leading a team
Preferably you have a deep understanding of national and international copyright laws
Strong interpersonal skills, incl. the ability to establish good cooperation with internal/external stakeholders
You are fluent in English
