Short pitch about the startup 

StepUp Health (SUH) is a young and ambitious company, building a novel medical monitoring device for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease patients. We are delivering new approaches to COPD management and bringing control of the disease back to the patients.  

SUH combines sensor technology with AI-based interpretation software to provide valuable information in time. Our wearables are based on breathing monitoring, a vital parameter that has been much forgotten but contains so much information. The telehealth approach allows transferring health assessment information between patient and doctor whilst improving access to more optimal disease management.

We help patients live a quality life longer, for the health care professionals SUH better understanding of their patients' condition. SUH aims to improve COPD management while introducing reliable technology.

Experienced and passionate about medical technologies?  

StepUp Health is looking for an experienced and motivated part-time co-founder. The core competencies should derive from at least a few years of experience in the medical field, preferably possessing expertise in COPD. It is expected that the candidate already has a network within Health Care System. In exchange, we offer a significant role in a great team and shares of the company.

Your responsibilities: 

• Bind partnerships with hospitals, doctors and research institutes 

• Build a network of healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders within Health Care 

• Survey and conduct interviews with doctors, hospitals, universities to gain insights and implement a feedback loop to improve our value proposition and market fit 

• Co-writing research and testing proposals 

• Developing value proposition 

• Presentation of the company & its products if needed

• The commitment of work 10-15 hours a week in the beginning, with the possibility of going full time.

Knowledge and/or experience within the following is a plus: 

• Respiratory diseases (COPD, Asthma, Apnea)

• Medical background

• Interest in the enhancement of respiratory monitoring methodologies

• Hands-on experience with COPD patients, treatment or day-care

• Ideally Nurse, doctor, physician, medical technician

• Clinical evaluation of expertise in Medical Device Lifecycle is a strong plus
