Medical Device FemTech Startup seeking intern for cell culture experiments.

Would you like to get a taste of the Danish startup world utilising your existing knowledge while gaining new skills to add to your CV?

Uvisa is a scientifically focused startup that are using technological advancements to develop a reusable device that will treat vaginal infections, without the use of chemicals or drugs, and in a matter of minutes.

We are seeking a short-term intern (2-3 months, with the possibility of extension) to help us conduct cell culture experiments starting from March. You will get hands on experience with vaginal epithelial cell lines, develop excellent aseptic technique, and conduct cell viability and cytotoxicity assays. You will also have the option to join for our weekly meeting, conferences, contests and other social events, and so really get to experience life in a life science startup.  

What do we expect from you?

• That you can work 7-10 hours a week based at DTU in Lyngby

• You are a Bachelor or Master student in a related subject ie. Microbiology, biotechnology etc.

• You are passionate about bringing better healthcare to women and improving their quality of life

• We don’t expect you to have any experience working with cell cultures, although it will be an advantage

Note: As for now it is an unpaid internship, with the possibility of gaining ECTS towards your degree instead. Though, we would like to point out that we are in the process of securing funding that will support us extending our paid team in the near future.
