Umami Games is looking for a Data Scientist with a strong knowledge of large-scale data analysis and statistical modeling to join our team.

You will have the opportunity to work on large datasets (millions of users in our games), be a significant contributor to all our performance marketing activities and help optimize the performance of our games. We know the value of data and machine learning and strive to combine classical and leading-edge approaches to make our games better every day. 

You will be the primary link between our marketing and design teams ensuring that we make informed decisions based on data.

It is not a requirement that you have experience in the gaming industry, what we value most is your ability to use data to solve difficult problems.

Responsibilities: 

• Support and add value to our Performance Marketing team

• Work alongside user acquisition managers, designers and backend developers in order to improve team efficiency

• Designing new algorithmic approaches to solve difficult quantitative problems

• Create and support data visualization

• Marketing optimization – Finding the best way to advertise to our customers to maximize engagement, click-throughs, and In App Purchases

  
  

Your qualification

• Roughly 3 years of experience in a similar role

• Experience using SQL to extract and transform large data-sets

• Experience developing predictive models and algorithms using Python

• Understanding of statistical concepts such as sampling, distributions, hypothesis testing and confidence intervals

• Attention to detail
