Relabee is a Danish digital health startup aiming to improve the way people living with chronic diseases engage with their network of friends and family to get the help they need to live well. 

We started this journey in 2016 with a focus on relatives. We are now exploring ways to get a fresh start with an updated approach for our offering and the technology used to power the solution.

We are a venture-backed startup at the seed phase of development.  As lead developer, you’ll have an excellent opportunity to influence the direction of the company and to grow with the business.

About the Job

As lead developer, you will have both leadership and daily coding responsibilities.  You will lead the team through the development of the technology strategy and both lead and contribute to coding our redesigned solution.  Your main responsibilities will be:

Leadership capacity

• Work closely with the CEO in translating company strategy to the technology strategy

• Creating a highly manageable and modern product architecture that delivers on the strategy

• Ensuring that users are delighted with the solution

• Planning and use of technological resources to meet the design needs within budget

• Creating, overseeing, and meeting development timelines

• Making executive decisions to meet the company’s technological requirements

• Managing technology budget

• Ensuring that all technology practices adhere to regulatory and quality standards

Operational Capacity

• Writing simple and elegant code that will stand the test of time

• Identifying and collaborating with external developers and partners to ensure that technology decisions align with the strategy

• Developing the solution on time, according to strategy, and within budget

• Ensuring the quality and simplicity of the code and documentation

• Meet timelines while aligning with the strategy and industry best practices

Qualifications

• Passion for finding solutions that people will actually adopt in their daily routines 

• Strong collaborative mindset and comfort with multi-tasking

• 7-10 years working in app development or related role – front- and back-end preferred

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field

• Excellent verbal and written communication, English

• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues

• Demonstrated ability to lead a team of developers

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with digital health apps, including quality and regulatory requirements

• Previous experience from start-ups

The practical details

Timeline — There’s no official application deadline or start date, so reach out today. We do target a start date around May 2022.

Location — We are located in beautiful Copenhagen, and would expect the lead developer to work frequently in-office with the team over the first year of employment.
