During our quest to help gig workers work better through apps, we decided to focus on developing 3 products that touch the same user at different points of their journey in the gig economy:

  • Appjobs.com to help people find new gig opportunities around their city.

  • AppJobs Work to help them advance and optimize their gig work.

  • Unveel to help them leverage their gig-work and earnings data to improve their work and life conditions.

 

We are looking for someone who is passionate about gig economy or gig workers and someone who can build stories about our products and find ways to communicate them across a variety of channels to different target audiences (b2b and b2c). You will be working mainly with business leaders of each product and the co-founders of AppJobs. You will start with Appjobs Work app and once you have a solid understanding of the market, how we want to change it and the synergies of our products, you will be asked to deliver a 360 marketing and communications strategy and implement it with a team of your choice.

 

Who are we looking for?

AppJobs Work is looking for a senior product marketing manager who will own the development of our story and its distribution. You will be mainly responsible for crafting the story for each Appjobs product and also how those products are connected with each other and finding ways to effectively communicate these stories across a variety of channels you define to the right persona at the right time (b2b, b2c and b2b2c models). You are also going to be:

  • Working closely with the product team to evaluate and improve channels of distribution.

  • Prioritizing work in such a way that will allow us to meet business objectives.

  • Improving product communication and online presence by effectively using various marketing channels.

  • Contributing to the development and shaping of our key results (yes, we use OKRs!).

  • Bringing creativity to AppJobs Work through market insights.

  • Being on top of the marketing performance of our products: what is happening and why.

  • (With time) building, leading, growing, developing and motivating high-performing and cross-functional marketing teams.

 

Who are we looking for exactly?

You are a great storyteller and you have a passion for the gig economy. You will be tasked to craft stories for each product and communicate them so you need to have ownership and passion, as well as a growth mindset. You will be valued and treated as a key member of leadership at AppJobs. Expect a similar responsibility as if you are a startup founder who leads the marketing and communication effort.

  • Passionate about gig economy and gig workers

  • Able to craft and tell stories for different products and target audiences

  • An entrepreneurial person with proven digital marketing experience.

  • Hands-on doer with getting-things-done mentality.

  • Passionate about delivering real value to end-users.

  • A person that doesn't need to be told what to do and can drive the brand strategy and ensure it is delivered successfully.

  • Experienced in crafting and leading brand strategies for digital b2b, b2c and b2b2c products.

  • Capable of working in a fast-paced and sometimes a bit chaotic startup environment.

  • Generally aware of both acquisition and retention marketing across different channels and mediums (SEO, paid / content, so-me, email, push, SMS etc.) but very strong at defining and executing a brand and content marketing strategy with hands-on experience.

  • Detail oriented and data-driven, so you are interested in tracking results and taking measurement before building opinions.

  • A believer in iteration and experimentation.

  • Familiar with the tools and frameworks to plan, evaluate, structure and deliver marketing strategies and their performance.

  • Somewhat experienced with OKR system.

  • Familiar with decision-making frameworks and how to use them.
