Maria 01 has grown to be one of the most relevant startup ecosystem players in the Nordic region. We are now looking for a Head of Community / Community Manager to join our team

Are you passionate about managing communities, fan of engaging with people and someone who wants to be working in the forefront of community management? We are looking for a social, ambitious person that understands the power of communities to lead our community function in Helsinki to help us increase our community engagement and increase peoples’ happiness. We hope you are a curious fast-learner who communicates fluently in English and thrives in the fast-phased startup world. 

As our next colleague, you will be working closely with all the different Maria 01 teams and functions e.g. networks, marketing and operations to take our community management to the next level. Your approach will be proactive and you are able to discover the early signals coming from our member companies and individuals, and be able to translate them into real actions. Your main tools will be hosting and attending live/virtual meetings and events, along with utilizing our digital tools such as Slack and Maria 01 member portal. We expect you to have the ability to think and execute ideas on how to improve engagement within our digital channels. 

We think this role would suit some who have experience in community building, events management and/or working in the HR-function. Depending on the suitable candidate's experience, we are looking for either a Head of Community that will be leading the whole community function and is able to grow to an even bigger role in the future or a Community Manager with the ability to develop the function as a whole and make us grow in the relevant metrics. Both roles will involve very much hands-on work. 

You will be reporting directly to the Maria 01 CEO. 

The role’s tasks include (but are not limited to):

• Ownership of Maria 01 membership onboarding process and collecting feedback from the community to be turned into actions 

• Ownership of community checkups and collecting feedback (e.g. NPS survey process) with Maria 01 member companies and individuals

• Responsibility of Maria 01 community related event content and organising (e.g. community parties) together with our events & production manager and networks and marketing team

• Main code-of-conduct person inside the community, acting also in the role of a mediator when needed

• Ability to utilize and develop our community management and processes with Maria 01 digital channels

• Responsible for Maria 01 team happiness activities e.g. p2p feedback sessions, birthday rememberings and team gatherings
