Your role

We are looking for a programmer with a keen eye for design for the position of a front-end developer. Front-end developers are responsible for ensuring the alignment of web design and user experience requirements, optimizing web pages for maximum efficiency, and maintaining brand consistency across all web pages, among other duties.

Together with the other members of the tech team, you will be responsible for the complete life-cycle of the software you create.

As a front-end developer, you will make us even better by insuring that our platform is always looking and working at its best. You will have a hands-on role where you collaborate closely with our growing tech team, as you work with various visual bugs and fixes on our platform, both desktop and the mobile version in various resolutions and browsers.

Responsibilities:

• Further development of Pleaz's graphical identity

• Optimize the user experience

• Determining the structure and design of web pages

• Striking a balance between functional and aesthetic design

• Ensuring web design is optimized for smartphones

• Building reusable code for future use

• Optimizing web pages for maximum speed and scalability

• Maintaining brand consistency throughout the design

• Own development of parts of an application and interact with the product team

• Interact and help fellow developers with different tasks

• Working closely with the backend developers to integrate backend services

• Research and implement new frontend technologies and standards that improve the process and product

You don’t have to be a super-advanced software developer. But we need  someone who is very thorough and honest, as you will be testing the platform in depth so it is streamlined with what our users expect from Pleaz.

Must Have Qualifications :

• Experience working with Git, including pull requests, code reviews and versioning

• Understanding of basic design principles

• Experience to ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript

• Responsive web-design knowledge

• Experience optimizing applications for performance

Nice to Have Qualifications:

• Experience WordPress and/or PHP

• Experience in building hybrid iOS and Android applications (ReactNative)
