Seasony helps vertical farms feed the world with less hassle and more automation.  

By automating the core processes in vertical farming with our modular autonomous mobile robot “Watney” we can offer vertical farms substantial reductions on labor costs and increase yields by increased monitoring. As Watney provides a platform for further automation we have created an open ecosystem for module development, that provides a one-size fits all solution for vertical farms.

To grow our R&D team, we are looking for an Electrical Engineer to support the development of the next iteration of our first product.  

You will work with our mobile robot consisting of a mobile platform, a lift, and a modular top platform and develop new features for autonomous operation in a vertical farming environment.   

You will be responsible, in coordination with other team members, of all the embedded electronics of the robot, this ranges from the complex electronics such as the computer to the simplest ones such as the buttons, going through the motors, the controllers, the batteries, the communication busses, the wires, the cables, and so on. You will also work with the firmware of the different components, to ensure all communication between the sensor and the “brain” of the robot work properly.  

Must have:  

• A degree in electronics or electrical engineering (M.Sc.)  

• Experience with designing complex electrical systems and architectures  

• Experience in PCB design 

• Hands-on experience in building prototypes 

• Adaptable to different kinds of situations  

• Fluent in professional English 

Nice to have:  

• Experience working with motors 

• Experience with a wide array of electronics components 

• Experience using AutoCAD Electrical, Solidworks Electrical 

• Experience with KiCAD or similar 

• Experience working with DIN Rail components 

• Knowledge of scrum and sprint methods 

• > 2-3 years of experience in the electronics and hardware industry 

• Open-minded and ready to help and ask for help 

• Curious about robotics in general
