Who are we?

DANSIC is a non-profit organization that explores the opportunities and challenges of social innovation and entrepreneurship. This year we are working on bringing together the idea of art as a product of recycled materials.

As a Board Member in DANSIC, you will be part of an ambitious group of volunteers from various universities, nationalities and professional backgrounds, all caring about social innovation and sustainability. You will have the opportunity to be at the head of the organization to ensure that the HR and Finance departments run smoothly and successfully.

 

HR department at DANSIC:

The HR department at DANSIC plays a crucial role in ensuring the functioning of the organization both at the operational and strategic level, helping us maintain a balance between professionalism and fun. Here at DANSIC, the HR department is the glue of the organization, bringing together the volunteers through processes of socialization and culture building.


Finance department at DANSIC:

The Finance crew applies to funding, manages the finances of DANSIC and drafts the annual financial report, being an essential part of our organization. The Finance Crew's role is to ensure that DANSIC is on the right track and has enough funding for our internal and external activities.

 

We're looking for someone who...

  • Is interested in gaining experience as a head of HR and Finance volunteers

  • Can commit themselves as a board member and will be present for Board meetings as needed as well as general meetings

  • Can motivate the volunteers of DANSIC and wants to develop their social and professional skills – as well as their own

  • Currently is a Bachelor’s / Master’s student or a recent graduate

  • Has previous experience in both HR and Finance

  • Would like to support social innovation, art and sustainability

  • Is able to attend the weekly meeting with your crews every Tuesday evening

  • Can undertake ad hoc tasks during the week

  • Can be a part of DANSIC from fall 2021 until late spring 2022, when our Annual General Meeting will be held (this is a must!)


As our Finance/Human Resources Board Member your responsibilities involve (but not limit to):

  • Ensuring that a plan is developed for both HR and Finance strategy together with your fellow board members and Department heads

  • Being the face of DANSIC, and representing the organization in a positive way

  • Promoting DANSIC to potential volunteers and recruiting them;

  • Using your own innovative ideas and planning skills to ensure the success of the HR and Finance department 

  • Represent and participate in DANSIC-led excursions;

  • Planning and facilitating internal workdays with your teams and board members
