So now supposedly is the time to announce that we are looking for a design guru or user experience rockstar to join our ranks. But the thing is… we are not. Not that we don’t love rockstars and respect gurus, we just believe in real people. 

 We are a team of 10 who are passionate about building great online applications to make people’s lives easier, and are looking for a new teammate! This time the talent we are seeking has an eye for modern design and a desire to build great user experiences. Knowledge and background from building web and/or mobile application designs is also appreciated. We hope you can teach us a thing or two about great ux and bring awesome ideas to the table.

Who are we?

Aatos is a disruptive, VC backed legal technology startup based in Helsinki, at Maria01 startup campus. We are building a superior digital legal platform to help individuals with their legal needs. By combining the newest technology, design thinking and legal principles we translate legal processes into fluent and fully automated web applications. Our aim is to demystify the legal processes and offer easy-to-use digital services. In a short period of time, Aatos has become a significant legal tech player in the industry and we are growing fast.

Our web platform Aatos.app, the most advanced personal legal platform available, was awarded as one of the top 3 online services in Finland (Grand One 2020) and has over 20 000 registered users. We currently operate in Finland and Sweden and are in the midst of a larger international expansion. (Great time to join!)

We are now expanding our team with a UX/UI designer to help us take our platform and design to the next level. You’ll be a crucial part of our team in designing and building the new features and products as well as improving the existing platform.

What you'll do:

• Create UX and UI designs - Design user flows, wireframes, assets and mock-ups for Aatos.app web platform

• Use data to analyse and build understanding of the user journey

• Create and manage Aatos visual identity

• Work with tech and marketing to identify areas of improvement and execute A/B testing

• Contribute in designing and creating marketing assets, including landing pages

• Work together with the team to innovate, prototype and launch totally new digital services

What are we looking for

• UX and UI design experience: You should have at least 3 years of relevant work experience in UX and UI design. We value a proven track record in designing web or mobile applications. You can be a senior designer or a successful junior designer looking for more responsibility.

• Ability to create a visual identity: You get to design the way Aatos’ visual identity is built & managed. We hope you can use your knowledge from previous tasks and own the process.

• Strong understanding of design practices and tools: You are very confident with design practices as well as tools such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe XD/Figma/Sketch etc. You’ll get to decide the toolsets we will use going forward.

• Eye for modern digital design: You take pride in designing simple but aesthetically pleasing digital UX and UI.

• Interest in understanding user behavior: You are good with testing almost everything and letting data show us the way when it’s possible.

• Bold ideas and vision: You have bold ideas and you are not afraid to try totally new approaches to solve problems.
