As our new full-time Scrum Master, you will coordinate and coach our software development team, applying Scrum and related methods to produce high-quality work. You’ll help to create and strengthen self-organizing teams that are flexible and fully productive during sprints, removing obstacles for them and making sure that user stories and specifications in the backlog are well-written. You should have excellent knowledge of the Scrum framework, with all its artifacts and techniques, as well as a broader knowledge of software development practices, and the ability to coordinate people and projects with your mindset on deliverables. You will work closely with our CTO and Product Manager as well as other stakeholders and all our developers.
You are already living in or planning to move to Finland (relocation services not provided). Ideally, you are currently based in or can move to the Helsinki metropolitan area, although you may also work remotely from time to time.
Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups
Coach team members in Agile frameworks and guide teams to higher Scrum maturity
Work with our CTO and Product Manager to handle backlogs and new requests
Refine ("groom") backlog items and elaborate on development specifications
Implement, analyze, and leverage metrics including velocity to improve processes and productivity
Help teams implement changes effectively
Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration
Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles to efficient development
Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint
Monitoring and verifying the tracked work times of development team members
Help build a productive environment where team members exhibit ownership and enjoy working on the product
Demonstrable success working in a Scrum Master role for multiple years
Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as the definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
Good knowledge of other Agile frameworks, e.g. Kanban
A passion for software development
Excellent communication and servant leadership skills
Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
Outstanding organizational skills
Degree in Computer Science, Business or similar field
Nice-to-haves:
Scrum Master certification is a plus
PHP developer background
Experience in ERP or ERP-like software projects
