Your role:

We are looking for a data visualization/app developer who has competencies within front-end technologies (HTML/CSS - Javascript) and Python. 

We are continuously developing new apps and are looking for a qualified student to help us scale this process. The apps communicate with our AI Platform through backend services and  the app developers role therefore requires close cooperation with our Back-end development team as well as our Data Scientist team.  

This role primarily entails:

• Working with databases and APIs to access remotely stored data

• Building Plotly components in Python

• Customizing the CSS and HTML of Plotly web app components;

• Building clean and commented code

This should be done via object-orientated programming and classes, as much as possible.

We are seeking individuals that have a talent for writing code and an ability to integrate that code into a dynamic environment that spans Cloud and Edge computing. Having passion to be part of a funded scale-up and being able to work independently and quickly pick up new technologies is essential. 

We expect that an engineer at this level will have experience with: 

• Programming in Python and shell scripting experience;

• An ability to process data in Python (e.g. using Pandas),

• Experience working with databases and APIs to access remotely stored data

• Familiarity with using a local development environment for developing and testing

• Ability to work in a distributed team in a fast paced environment

• Knowledge of how to navigate DevOps basics such as committing code and deploying to staging environment

• Strong spoken and written English skills, along with strong communication skills.
