Avallone is looking for a student assistant to take up a junior UX/UI designer role to help update and maintain our component design system. Our design workflow revolves around Figma, and you will play a key role in maintaining the user interface component system. This will allow us to re-use existing UI elements efficiently. 

This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-moving, talented UX/UI team using the latest industry-standard tools and practices. As a student assistant at Avallone you will experience that we are very ambitious about supporting your continued growth by offering tasks of both high importance and high impact, but with plenty of support, coaching and feedback along the way.

About the role and responsibility:

•  Create and update our design component system based on our current user interface

• Keep the design system neat and organized in Figma

• Other design tasks like brand design tasks and other ad hoc visual design elements

About the background and experience, we are looking for:

• You are studying UX/UI and digital design

• You are experienced in Figma and the process of creating components

• You are detail-oriented and love pixel perfection

• You are organized, make comprehensive to-do lists, and find joy in ticking off the items on the list

• You are comfortable with deadlines, a high pace, and big ambitions

• You are a great team player with a ‘get stuff done attitude

• You are fluent in spoken and written English

• You are able to work a min. of 12 hours a week
