Startup Norway is a private impact organisation started in 2010 by passionate entrepreneurs, wanting to create a stronger and more inclusive startup community. 

We work to support the most ambitious founders in Norway by developing programs and initiatives to help build global growth companies and connecting them to relevant investors, corporate partners, mentors and experts. We strive to influence, connect and educate the players of the startup scene, to lay the foundation for the creation of many more entrepreneurial success stories in the future and facilitate unique investment opportunities.  

Startup Norway drives more than 30 programs per year towards startups and investors and has trained more than 1000 startups and 500 investors through our programs. We screen more than 1500 cases per year and actively work with more than 400 startups, supporting them with knowledge programs, investments, festivals, matchmaking with corporates, and a flexible workspace in Oslo when relevant.   

We have facilitated more than 500 MNOK in investments since 2015. Notable programs towards investors include Angel Challenge, VC Challenge and Startup Extreme, among others.

As an Investor Relations Manager at Startup Norway

You will:

  • Have a key responsibility of identifying and building relationships with relevant investors and grow our existing investor community towards Startup Norway and community partner deal flow initiatives, across industry and domain. 

  • Help screen startups and identify qualified deal flow to present to private and professional investors.

  • Shape and create new investor initiatives for all types of investors.

  • Research new industry trends and technologies and attract attention into new sectors  

  • Organise investor meetings, events and other activities for the community

  • Engage with the startup community to develop best practices and identify new opportunities.

  • Participate in our programs for startups and investors as host and speaker in startup investing topics.

  • Be a representative of Startup Norway in the early stage investor community

You are:

  • An individual with a great understanding and knowledge in the startup investing world and have the curiosity to want to learn it all 

  • An active member of the startup community in Norway or the Nordics with 2-3 years of experience from working in an incubator / accelerator, business angel network, VC firm, etc.

  • Excellent at building long term relationships

  • Sales focused with a commercial mindset 

  • Able to multitask effectively and prfioritize projects and tasks. 

  • An excellent public speaker or want to learn the skill of becoming one

  • Passionate about entrepreneurship, innovation and the startup community

  • Proficient in English, orally and written. Proficiency in Norwegian is a plus, but it is not required
