Embedded hardware/software developer

Salary Competitive

The e-bike market is exploding. And is turning a big part of the transport sector green for real. Let us take e-bikes to the next level. There is so much that can be improved and we have a key technology on hand to dramatically improve the ride feeling and safety of e-bikes. As a hardware and embedded software engineering student, you can be part of this.

We are looking for a hardware/embedded software engineer student, intern, or part-timer. Having pioneered several innovations in bike power meter technology, we have pivoted to e-bike torque sensor technology and are seeing lots of demand. If you want to be part of this, you should get on board now.

Learning new things is guaranteed with this job and SYMBION is a great place for expanding your network both professionally and personally.

Apply if you are good at

  • Structured embedded C design, implementation, test, and documentation on microcontrollers

  • Electronics at the board level (schematic, layout, test, and documentation) both analog and digital

We prefer that you have completed your bachelor's and are doing your master's now. We like to see your grades if you haven't completed your master's yet, but the most important thing we want to hear about is the "things" you have designed as part of course work, jobs, and on your own.

Language

Excellent English or a decent Danish is required.

We are looking for someone who

  • Works structured and is detail-oriented

  • Has a positive attitude

  • Is dependable and gets things done

  • Self-motivated and ambitious

It would be a plus if you have experience with ARM processors, Microchip processors, CAN bus, KiCAD, lab work, and soldering.

Some practical information

  • The office is in the SYMBION office park on Østerbro

  • Facilities as per the icons below

  • As a small startup, we can be very flexible on most parameters as long as we keep focus on creating real results

Flexibility

If you want this as a student job (10-20h/week), we are quite flexible with the hours and time off for exams, etc. It is important for us that you succeed both in school and with the work.

Done as an internship, this can be paid or unpaid to match your situation. We can also make it as "virksomhedspraktik" if you are in "A-kasse". It can be full-time or part-time to fit the way it works best for you. We want our interns to get one step closer to getting that "real" job, and judging by the stats we have been good at this so far.

At this point in time, we are unfortunately not ready to offer this as a full-time salaried position. This is planned to change as we gain traction and secure more projects with this new sensor technology. Plus: Still being a startup, nothing is static for long here.

Apply

Simply send a CV and a short note explaining why this would be fun for you. There is no set deadline and we normally process applications on a weekly basis.
