We are looking for 2 talented developers who want to become a part of a web shop in growth and are passionate about developing intelligent, user-friendly solutions for both colleagues and customers. In 2020, we hired 3 developers and that team is now growing to 7 in 2021 to match our company’s ambitions.

We see ourselves as a tech company rather than a traditional trading company, which is what most web shops would call themselves. We are growing because we develop razor sharp solutions, which can be seen in our prioritization of resources; 5 developers out of a total number of 19 staff-members. Development is not seen as an expense but as an investment in future growth.

The job and tasks:

After many years using Magento as our technical platform, we are now ready for the next step, which is coding our own next-level platform for our colleagues.

Our plans are big and that is why we need to build the software to keep pace. You will be working with:

• Building amazing software that we feel proud of. Software that really moves the company forward and gives both colleagues and customers a world-class experience.

• Automated processes.

• Thorough troubleshooting.

• Optimization and documentation of existing code databases.

• Collaboration with the rest of the team on your own and your colleagues’ tasks.

• Looking at the latest trends in PHP and implementable solutions or code languages.

• Suggestions on choices for new systems and extensions.

The daily language in our Dev Team is English, and the expectations listed below come from the existing team, who are best qualified to identify what competencies are needed to reach our future goals.

Must-have

• You can program in MVC patterns and have at least 2-year experience with it

• Experience in coding and configuring popular backend frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony or ZEND/Laminas)

• Knowledge of and experience in integrating third-party APIs

• Strong experience in web standards and protocols

• You can work independently on your own projects

Nice-to-have

• Knowledge of DevOps

• Knowledge about web application security, exploits and solutions to these

• Experience with VCS such as GIT or Subversion

• Experience in understanding and writing (complex) MySQL queries

• Experience in E-commerce platforms, such as Magento or Shopware

• Knowledge of GraphQL

• Knowledge of the SOLID principles

• Experience in writing unit tests

• Experience with shell scripting, preferable on server level but not required

• Minimal 2+ years of professional experience with PHP

• Feeling with ecommerce

Super nice-to-have

• Wallhack and Aimbot-like skills in CS (our lead developer is getting tired in the back from carrying us..)

About Evermart

Evermart had its beginnings in an apartment in Aarhus. The company has, especially within the last 3 years, been on an exciting growth adventure. From 2017 to 2020, the number of orders has increased tenfold. In 2021, we expect to ship orders to more than 300.000 happy customers.

Until now, we have focused on consumer technology with a main focus on own import from factories as well as private labels. Currently we have more than 10.000 products in our warehouse and before we leave 2021 this number is expected to hit 20.000.

Our product range will also broaden to include home electronics, outdoor, sports equipment and more.
