Join a fast-growing start-up
Founded in 2019, in a bid to generalize robotics with state-of-the-art software, RiACT is a fast-growing startup based in Copenhagen. We provide a universal operating system for industrial robots as the interface between robotic hardware and intelligent robot applications.
The RiACT team consists of leading software engineers within cyber-physical systems, robotic software architectures, control and vision algorithms. We were brought together by our passion for robotics. Our goal is to create the most advanced software for industrial robots, independent of brand and use-case, allowing robotic experts to design and deploy new solutions quickly and efficiently. We are fascinated by the possibilities it creates and we are looking for someone who is equally intrigued by the technology, capable of pushing our product and team to the next level. Someone who is motivated to grow with us.
Lead development is your focus...
You are an experienced and independent senior software developer with extensive experience in designing and implementing software architectures in Python and C++, with proficiency in data structures and algorithms. You are familiar with development methods and principles (TDD, SOLID, GoF) and will work on the core RiACT technology with our team of software-, robotic- and vision engineers. You will:
Design, extend and implement core software architecture, incl. ontologies, data structures, behavior trees, communication models and hardware abstraction layer
Setup and manage DevOps (jenkins or similar)
Drive quality assurance: Establish and execute testing- and code documentation routines
Conduct code management, code reviews, debugging and refactoring code into powerful and extensible API’s
Management becomes your skill...
You will be comfortable assuming a lead programming role and set ambitious goals for the team in close collaboration with our CTO and CEO. More specifically, you will:
Supervise and lead our development team’s daily development activities using agile project management tools (Kanban, Scrum or similar) and secure realistic resource planning
Establish and evaluate development practices and processes to improve performances
Optimize our operations and coordinate goal-oriented development in cobot automation projects for our clients
Translate complex conceptual ideas (e.g. loosely specified customer requirements) into functioning software to ensure our product quality meets our business objectives
Co-establish software deployment strategy and identify news functionalities in our solutions
What we can offer
As our Senior Software Architect, you will get the chance to work as an entrepreneur, take responsibility and see how your work creates value, inspires and drives success. Moreover, you will:
Grow, improve and refine multiple facets of your skills from programming to leadership experience
Learn, be challenged and work in a talented team of robotics-enthusiasts
Make an impact and take part in key decisions from who to hire to implementing the product
RiACT is still a relatively small company (6+ employees), meaning the work often spans multiple disciplines. We expect to double the number of employees within the next one and a half years, which means you will be essential to building a culture of creativity and growth in RiACT. In addition, you will:
Manage your own schedule. Even though work can be hectic, we have a relaxed environment that respects having time for both work and free time
Work in lovely offices located in central Copenhagen at the waterfront in Sydhavnen with a canteen, gym, coffee-machine and outdoor pool within 1 min. walking
Have fun and build friendships. We are a small team that truly enjoys hanging out together, playing board games, doing sports, going to concerts or just drinking beer. We value collaboration, honesty and mutual understanding which makes the RiACT friendship glow
