Want to try out your UX/UI skills in a fun and innovative startup? (Internship)

Salary Unpaid

Want to be a part of a fun startup journey where you'll get hands-on experience and the possibility to get full freedom to learn and develop in your role? We are looking for a talented UX & UI Intern to create functional user experiences. The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and artful design and be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces.

Who are we:

Succeesteam is a digital platform created to support team leaders in building a feedback culture where people always come first. It's pretty simple, actually. Happy and motivated teams perform at a higher level.

It's 2021, and we have to break up with the "all-fits-one" leadership mentality, that results in employees changing jobs or, even worse, burnout or stress.

Our mission is to help leaders become better through team feedback and have fun while doing it. :)

You are:

  • a go-getter with an open-minded, entrepreneurial mindset

  • never afraid to try something new and learn

  • good at adapting to change

  • Up-to-date with the latest design trends, design tools, and technologies

  • Able to present your designs and solutions and solve problems creatively and effectively

  • Having a BS/MS in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or related is a plus

Your role:

You will be working closely with the Product Owner, and you will get freedom in the development of the UX/UI. We are a startup, and we believe that "from failure, we learn", so we don't expect you to know it all, but we expect you to be brave enough to try it all.

We are looking for someone with the "right" attitude who is curious to learn how a startup works, and influence the journey we are on. The important thing is that it's a collaboration where we both get value. Most of the skills you will develop along the way, your mindset is much more defining.

An overview of your daily work:

  • Collaborate with the Product Owner and engineers to define and implement innovative new features for the product direction, visuals, and experience

  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows and process flows to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas

  • Present and defend your designs and key milestone deliverables to the team

  • Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback

  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards

Unless you want a more remote position, depending on your location, you will sit with the product owner in Aarhus or with the other interns and the CEO in Copenhagen.

We offer:

  • An unpaid internship, but the possibility of employment after the internship

  • Flexible working hours

  • One-to-one feedback

  • A fun environment in an open office with many other startups to learn from

  • No bullshit intern tasks, you are a part of the team, and your opinion and ideas a valued

  • freedom regarding working hours and location (we trust each other)

  • Access to great mentors within the business world as Werner Valuer and Bo Nielsson, who are co-founders

  • An opportunity to be in charge

Working at

People first. It's good business. There are countless obstacles in any leadership situation when driving a happy, motivated team that also has to perform their best not to mention to improve every day. Many leaders today got their role through seniority because they worked their way up, which is excellent. Still, great leadership skills don't appear with many years of experience in a certain position. Leadership skills have to be learned and always developed, as a leader has the most significant responsibility of all, the people. That is not an easy task and as organizations develop into more remote work and diverse teams the challenge has never been bigger. We have commissioned each other to settle for mediocre leadership because leaders are too busy with other assignments than checking in on the people. But this needs to change, and all change is difficult. Changing leaders' mindset to put people first, will create happier team members who are less likely to quit, which will leave everyone more motivated to do their tasks. Motivated team members deliver better results, and that is good business. It's not a cliche it's a fact. We have built an easy-to-use tool that supports leaders in creating and upholding a feedback culture, where leaders improve and develop through honest feedback from their team members. We help leaders identify and take action on team challenges ensuring happy and motivated teams with the best conditions to perform. If people are given the right conditions to succeed, they will.
