Would you like to take up a DevOps specialist position at the core of the democratic machinery, not just here in Denmark, but in Europe and the USA?
Founded in 2001, we have more than two decades of experience developing advanced digital election systems that are used across the public and private sector. Our technology is unique when it comes to the combination of user‑friendliness, integrity, and security, and we are often the first choice of major organisations when it comes to online elections. Currently we are also about to assume an important role in upcoming American public elections.
The heart of our system is cryptography. Building on the foundation laid by pioneers like Alan Turing and Hedy Lamarr, we aim to create an architecture which in all ways possible and imaginable prevents the vote of the people from being manipulated and abused by disruptive forces. Recent events on the global arena make it clear that there is no room for systems that allow for even the tiniest sliver of doubt. Our mission is to make sure that every vote is counted as cast and to improve the democratic process by making it more accessible, secure and trustworthy.
Our work is agile, and we strive for high engineering standards. That means our ‘good enough’ must be perfect.
We are a relatively small team of developers, and you will have lots of opportunities to affect our working processes. Some of the things we expect of a future co-worker are as follows:
Experience with automation of build, test, and deploy processes
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with monitoring
Preferably experience with IaC
Strong opinions on code quality, security, and performance
Works well with agile methods
Preferably experience with Ruby, Ruby on Rails, or Vue.js
We value curiosity and eagerness to learn higher than how many years of experience you have, so if you are in the beginning of your career and are interested in the above, you are qualified. We are not looking for code fanatics, but idealists are welcome. And while you do not have to be very knowledgeable of historic figures, you should embrace core democratic values. We believe diversity makes us stronger.
You will be part of a team of developers responsible for developing user-friendly and secure voting systems that are used by clients all around the globe. Your main tasks will be setting up an advanced deployment system that might need to support running several different versions of our products at the same time. Since we need to support on-premise installations, we need to develop tools, methods and processes to manage installations in a very heterogeneous environment. In short – this is not a usual [pick a cloud] DevOps position.
We can offer a full-time position with a competitive salary and other boons. The office is in Brøndby, just west of Copenhagen, and it is possible to work from home much of the time.
We require you to have a work permit for the EU and would prefer it if you could start as soon as possible. Our main working language is English.
If you want to know more, contact us or submit your application and/or any questions.
If we believe you are qualified for the job, we will contact you for a phone interview and a subsequent job interview, in which a short test of your technical skills is included.
