After dominating the Finnish and Swedish event markets for multiple years, we’ve decided to take our next step on the journey to conquer the whole Nordic region. Denmark, you're next!

We’ve already dipped our toes into the Danish market and tested its potential by opening our website there in 2018. Since then, our volumes have been growing steadily and have now reached levels we can’t handle without an extra pair of savvy hands.

We're now hiring a Partnership Specialist to grow our Danish business and take it to new heights. You’d be the first member of our Danish country team and would have a huge impact on our success in the market. You’d work closely with our other country teams, mainly those of Sweden, Spain and Poland.

This is a fast-paced position with a strong focus on sales. Previous work experience is not required, a great attitude and willingness to learn are.

Venuu = The best venues for parties, weddings, meetings and events. On a promising track to become the world’s leading venue booking site.

The job in a nutshell:

• Main tasks: Making sure that A) Denmark’s best venues join us and get value out of using our platform and B) that event organisers find our service online.

• Previous experience: Some previous experience in sales or partnership management could be beneficial but is not required.

• Traits that take you far: Sales and growth-driven mindset. Persistence and ability to dream big. Great communication skills. Structured and well-organised approach. Team player at heart.

• Language: Fluent command of the Danish language, good level of English. No Finnish required.

• Start date: September 2021

• Working hours: Full-time (37,5h / week)

• Start salary: Approximately 2000 € / month, later developing together with your skills and our Danish business.

• Team: Venuu’s global expansion team with young professionals from multiple countries.

• Location: Helsinki. At least some of the work will be carried out from our office space close to the city centre.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• You reach out to venue providers in and close to Denmark’s major cities and work hard to get them to join us. This part includes lots of phone calls and emails! 📞

• You ensure that our venue providers attract the right clientele by creating high-quality profiles that make the venues shine.

• You ensure that our venue providers understand and experience the value of being listed on Venuu and are willing to pay for our service.

• You make sure that people who are looking for venues online find us. This includes creating website content and, at a later point, negotiating some marketing partnerships.

• You’ll have a chance to take on more tasks and responsibilities once you’ve learned the basics and feel well prepared.

Our ideal candidate:

• Feels comfortable talking to people on a daily basis. Pitching on the phone and closing deals should give them kicks!

• Tends to reach high and never settles for the bare minimum. Hearing a “No” every once in a while doesn’t scare them off, just makes them push harder. 🚀

• They're able to prioritise their workload without dropping too many balls on the way. Wearing multiple hats simultaneously is no big deal for them, more of an intriguing challenge.

• They have an excellent command of the Danish language, both written and spoken.

• Ideally, they’ve lived multiple years in Copenhagen and know its streets, neighbourhoods and venues. Most of our business will be in the capital.

• They have a curious mind and love to ask questions. They’re one of those life-long learners who are never truly satisfied with the information they possess.

• They’re growth-driven and get excited about seeing results. Once having found a growth hack, they’re willing to push that track 100%.

• They’re a true team player with a golden heart. They care deeply about company culture and want to play their part in building a winning A-team.

• Round 1: Video call interview with expansion team leader Jaakko Salonen

• Round 2: Live interview with Jaakko and CEO Tomi Hänninen

• Round 3: Final meet & greet with possible future colleagues

We’d like to make the hiring decision before leaving for the holidays in early August. The work would start after the holiday period ends in early September.
