UNIGMA Team (tech platform)

Salary Unpaid

Unigma Leadership (volunteer position)

Currently, knowledge about new technologies and digitalization are gathered in silos at the technical universities. We think that is a shame. We are students and recent graduates who connect and inspire university student through our content and platform - www.unigma.org

Details of the Unigma Leadership Team

Team size: 5-10

Period: August – July. If you can only do less time just let us know

Meeting: weekly

Time commitment: 2-4 hours/week

To summarize it, Unigma

is an online platform that shares a melange of news, insights and ideas on digitalization and technology from (surprisingly) different perspectives with ALL university students. Hereby we, the students, benefit from each other’s skills and become better prepared to handle the complex challenges we are facing. All students need to have access to understanding and nuances of technology in order to take part in implementing it in a responsible way. We believe this crossdisciplinarity is the key for sustainable innovation.

The articles are written or edited by students. That means that some of the content comes from the contributors themselves while other articles and videos are made by students.

The events I got to organize while being a community builder have taught me so much about what goes into running an organization and tackling interdisciplinarity. Working at
Station

Roles at the bottom of the page! We are an interdisciplinary community of students and recent graduates, who: 1. create the most thriving crossdisciplinary student community 2. empower students through hands-on programmes and projects about sustainability, innovation and entrepreneurship, and 3. engage in collaborations with the private, public and civic sector. Station is a non-profit volunteer foundation dedicated to youth communities, well-being promotion, and empowering students. Our mission is to create meaningful and inclusive communities that allow students from across the country's higher education institutions to transform their engagement, curiosity, and ideas into positive change for themselves and the world. We are located in the former Frederiksberg police station at Howitzvej 30, which, following extensive renovation funded by support raised by students themselves, now serves as a modern hub for activities and innovation for students and graduates. Station is a meeting point for young people, students, and graduates who wish to participate in new and meaningful value-driven communities, challenge themselves in their fields, and be inspired by new mindsets and perspectives. Each year, we welcome over 50,000 visitors to our house, representing a diverse range of students and graduates with varying expertise, nationalities, and cultures. We serve as the nexus for approximately 250 regular members, 24 student organizations, and 100 volunteers annually, who engage through our ongoing volunteer initiatives, learning programs, and over 60 yearly activities. Station is operated by a professional secretariat that carries out tasks related to e.g. community building, project management, event management, communications, fundraising, business development, partnerships, and more. By collaborating closely with volunteers and student initiatives, we work to ensure transparency and cross-collaboration within our community and organisation, where our members, volunteers and visitors are the heart of our organisation and at the forefront of our movement.
