We are Passendo. Based in central Copenhagen, we are growing a team with a genuine passion for in-email Advertising technology. The founding team has more than 50 years of combined experience within the digital advertising space, with some of the best people in the industry working to innovate and break new ground in the email marketing space.
With a new round of funding and aggressive growth plans, we are now looking for a Business Development Lead to define and drive our sales strategy and fuel our international growth. Passendo is a unique Email and Native advertising SaaS platform with some of Europe’s most recognised media brands in their portfolio, currently active across 10+ markets. About the role
In this key role, you will play a leading role in defining our international sales strategy, developing successful relationships with new prominent publishers across international markets across Europe and the US. Passendo’s target group consists of publishers including Bonnier, Berlingske, Financial Times and AARP. Your goal is to sell Passendo’s solution to publishers across the globe to help them maintain and expand their current growth.
A typical day of work consists of you being creative and resourceful in seeking out and talking to the most senior people in the industry. This might include researching their profiles, understanding their needs and how these can be answered by Passendo’s platform. These relationships can be cultivated on various channels. You may have one or more online meetings with them, then spend time on the phone, email and LinkedIn to continue the conversation and engagement until they become a very happy client! Once things return back to normal, the role may also include some exciting international and European travel.
Your responsibilities:
Define Passendo's sales strategy across current and new international markets
Lead on building our international sales pipeline
Identify and break into new vertical markets/segment
The ideal candidate will have a strong background and experienced in working for SaaS companies, and will not be daunted by having phone conversations with interested prospects in new markets. We are looking for someone who can grow with the job and take on new responsibilities along the way.
You will ideally possess:
Experience in a full time B2B sales role - preferably from SaaS
Experience with sales to a senior level audience
Leadership experience
High level of energy and interest in working in a dynamic environment
Fluent in English and preferably fluent in another language as well
Bonus Points!
Experience with sales to international markets is a plus but not a requirement.
Previous experience prospecting for an Enterprise SaaS is a plus but not a requirement.
Experience within Ad Technology is a huge plus.
